The opportunity
The GDS Marketing Program Manager (Assistant Director) will help Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) program leaders and program managers bring external and/or internal marketing and event programs to life by understanding EY’s business and marketing strategies and transforming business priorities into world‑class execution and delivery. These programs and events will create measurable impact globally and locally, integrate across sectors, and deliver sustainable results.
The role of the Nordics Cross Media Lead requires an experienced, energetic and resilient team player with a strong understanding of what it takes to deliver multi‑channel marketing and event programs in a complex environment. Working closely in an agile team, the successful candidate will be required to understand the capabilities of the current GDS teams and effectively manage BMC and onshore stakeholder expectations by building strong relationships and collaborating closely within the BMC team and with client‑serving subject‑matter experts.
The Nordics Cross Media Lead will be responsible for leading end-to-end planning, activation, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns across the Nordics. The role ensures alignment between business priorities, brand strategy, and paid media execution while driving measurable impact, operational excellence, and strategic collaboration with internal stakeholders and external agency partners.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and transformation, ensuring marketing investments translate into business outcomes.
Your key responsibilities
- Campaign strategy and business alignment
- Define campaign objectives, KPIs, and success metrics aligned with business priorities and brand positioning
- Translate business needs into integrated campaign strategies across paid, owned, and earned channels
- Ensure alignment with Nordic brand strategy, audience priorities, and account-based marketing initiatives
- End-to-end campaign management and activation
- Lead campaign lifecycle from brief, planning, and governance to activation and post-campaign reporting
- Oversee 90+ paid campaigns across channels including paid social, search, display, programmatic and OOH
- Ensure smooth execution across small and large campaign flows, balancing speed, governance, and quality
- Manage go-live processes, optimization cycles, and performance tracking
- Paid media and agency management
- Own collaboration with media agency (EssenceMediacom), including planning, execution, and optimization
- Drive media planning, budget allocation, and channel mix decisions
- Ensure campaigns deliver against awareness, engagement, and conversion objectives within EY’s global paid media framework
- Continuously improve ways of working with agency partners and stakeholders
- Performance, insights and reporting
- Lead performance monitoring, reporting, and optimization across campaigns
- Translate campaign data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
- Contribute to impact reporting and KPI tracking across marketing activities
- Drive continuous improvement through data-led decision making
- Operational excellence and governance
- Own campaign governance, approvals, and compliance processes (e.g., PO, BRIDGE, budget tracking)
- Ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities across Marketing Managers, Campaign Managers, and agencies
- Improve and scale campaign processes, tools, and workflows across BMC
- Stakeholder and cross-team collaboration
- Act as a strategic partner to business stakeholders, BMC teams, and Talent/Employer Branding teams
- Serve as key point of contact for campaign planning, especially for recruitment and brand initiatives
- Facilitate alignment across multiple teams (Nordics, global, agency partners)
- Lead workshops, retrospectives, and ways-of-working improvements
- Marketing transformation and innovation
- Drive innovation in digital marketing, including automation, AI-driven insights, and performance frameworks
- Contribute to development of a connected and intelligent marketing ecosystem
- Improve marketing effectiveness through new tools, processes, and measurement approaches
To qualify for the role, you must have the following skills and competencies
- Technical and functional
- Strong expertise in paid media (social, search, programmatic, display)
- Campaign lifecycle management (briefing → activation → reporting)
- Marketing analytics, KPI frameworks, and performance optimization
- Budget management, procurement processes, and financial tracking
- Familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., Marketo, analytics platforms, planning tools)
- Strategic and business skills
- Ability to connect marketing activities to business outcomes and revenue impact
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience working in matrixed, cross-market organizations
- Data-driven decision making and structured problem solving
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office, including Excel (including developing pivot tables) and PowerPoint
- Leadership and collaboration

- Facilitation skills (workshops, alignment sessions, retrospectives)

Ideally, you’ll also have
- MBA with a major in Marketing or MS (Marketing)
- Digital marketing experience
- In-depth knowledge and experience of running large, logistically complex Global events
- Knowledge of meeting industry software, CRM, including web registration and digital marketing applications
- Experience of working within a B2B brand
