Job Title: Business Analyst – EY Reporting Hub & User Access Management Product Line
The opportunity
The Business Analyst (BA) is the connection point between the Product Line Lead and the technical and Quality Assurance (QA) teams. The BA translates functional requirements into detailed technical specifications, supports the development cycle and drives functional validation until enhancements and resolved defects are ready to be moved into Production. Additionally, the BA provides support for consumers, reviews regular data updates, conducts functional and data-related validations and sends out communications when necessary. EY Reporting Hub is the one stop-shop providing all R&DA reports to each consumer. The User Access Management (UAM) tool was created to manage access to R&DA data and reports for all roles that are not maintained in another globally available system. As a result, both tools support a global user baser targeting every EY employee. While the reports are maintained by the different Product Lines teams targeting specific user groups, the EY Reporting Hub and UAM are critical enablement tools which require stability and high availability. Additionally, the team oversees initiatives to improve the usability and stability of these tools working closely with the different Product Line teams to provide a god and consistent offering to all R&DA users.
The main responsibility is to manage the continuous enhancement and defect management of the Reporting Hub and UMA based on requirements from the different R&DA teams as well as to ensure smooth operations and good & timely consumer support.
The Reporting and Data Analytics sub-function (R&DA) is a leading-edge organization providing powerful analytical solutions to evolve our ability to provide insights to the business. The R&DA ensures that EY is keeping pace with the many analytical and technological changes taking place in the business world, evolving our tools and the way we look at information, to best support the client serving as well as corporate responsibilities in a rapidly changing business world.
Your key responsibilities
- Turn ideas into requirements (user stories) including acceptance criteria ensuring quality, consistency as well as generic and easy-to-use solutions that users can benefit from
- Identify opportunities to enhance the frontend as well its backend data model and processes as well as incorporating new or changes to R&DA’s technology stack
- Validate enhancements as well as resolved defects from a functional point of view
- Work closely with QA team to define validation criteria and activities and helps prioritizing defects ensuring high quality of deliverables
- Support R&DA internal and external User Acceptance Test (UAT) activities
- Work hand in hand with the product line teams and align timelines and dependencies with their roadmap
- Stay up to date on technical innovation, new product offerings of our key vendors and regularly collect feedback from Product Line teams and other stakeholders
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience in in project management – agile/scrum project management would be beneficial
- Good communication with the ability to flex between functional and technical conversations
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence IT teams to solve problems and support functional design
- Understanding of EY’s key source systems (e.g. Mercury, Dynamics, MDM, SuccessFactors), R&ADA reporting and analysis solutions and data flows as well as IT’s key processes and rules
- Understanding of the EY’s key roles and responsibilities
- Experience with requirement documentation
- Familiarity with data and root cause analysis as well as data validation using SQL, Power BI and Excel tools
- Solution oriented and problem solving skills
- Ability to adapt and change positively in response to changing business priorities
- Detail oriented, analytical, structural work approach as well as emphasis on quality and consistency
- Fluent English skills

Experience
To qualify for the role you must have
- 3 or more years of experience in a finance or technical department
- Some relevant business experience within EY would be beneficial
- High motivation to learn from your experienced colleagues
