AI Learning Experience Design Manager

EY Job Description

Job Title: AI Learning Experience Design Manager

Function: Talent

Skill Level: Advanced

Sub Function: L&D Talent Services

L&D VTH is a core learning team in the Global Delivery Services organization, delivering design, development and delivery of learning solutions to EY Global teams, member firms and service lines.

The opportunity

AI is changing how work gets done, how knowledge is created, and how people learn. The challenge is no longer access to tools. It’s helping people use AI in ways that are practical, responsible, credible, and relevant to how work gets done.

This role is for someone who can translate AI transformation into learning experiences, eLearning, microlearning and adoption journeys that help our people work differently and build lasting habits. You will help shape how AI learning is experienced, how it supports behaviour change, and how it is built to keep pace with a fast-moving technology landscape.

This role sits within Learning and Development and supports AI transformation across the business in close partnership with the Office of the CTO. It is well suited to someone who has worked in a creative studio, agency, innovation team, or other fast-moving environment.

As the AI Learning Experience Design Manager (LM), you will play a key role in advancing EY Canada’s AI transformation by designing internal learning experiences that are relevant, well-crafted and built for adoption. This role reports to the L&D Business Partner and works closely with the AI and Innovation Learning Manager.

Your key responsibilities

  • Translate emerging tool capabilities and use cases into practical learning journeys, resources and experiences aligned to how EY professionals work.
  • Partner with the Office of the CTO team, Learning Leaders and business stakeholders to identify priority capability gaps, behaviour shifts and adoption barriers, and design learning solutions that respond to them in job-relevant ways.
  • Translate complex AI capabilities into clear, useful and engaging upskilling experiences that reduce friction and help people build confidence and responsible AI habits.
  • Use GenAI in hands-on ways across creative and production workflows, including content development, personalisation, format testing and delivery.
  • Prototype and pilot new learning formats, including campaign-style assets, embedded workflow supports, and AI-enabled experiences to refine what works.
  • Establish a strong point of view on what good looks like in AI adoption, learning experience design and behaviour change, and use that point of view to help shape EY’s L&D strategy and programming decisions.
  • Operate as a builder in ambiguous conditions, testing new tools, learning quickly from what works, and evolving the approach as platforms, needs and behaviours change.
  • Use data, feedback and behavioural signals to asses what is landing, where adoption is stalling and how the experience should be refined.
  • A successful candidate for the AI Learning Experience Design Manager role at EY Canada will possess a unique blend of skills, experience, and attributes that enable them to thrive in a fast-paced, transformative environment. Here’s what we’re looking for:

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong creative and strategic judgement, with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear, high-quality experiences.
  • A clear and credible point of view on experience design, behaviour change and what drives real adoption in practice.
  • Hands-on fluency in GenAI tools and workflows, especially as they relate to content creation, design, and production of learning experiences and assets.
  • Ability to distinguish signal from noise in a crowded AI landscape, and to create experiences that feel useful, relevant and human rather than generic or overproduced.
  • Strong storytelling instincts and an ability to shape narrative, tone and framing in ways that help learning land with different audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead across disciplines and build effective collaboration between people with different professional backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Strong product mindset, including comfort with iteration, user-centred design, instructional design, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate broad transformation goals into actionable, engaging solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for clarity, simplicity and quality.
  • Curiosity, range and good judgement in fast-moving environments where there is no fixed playbook.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 10+ years of experience leading work in a creative studio, agency, or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Experience designing learning experiences, products, campaigns, and content ecosystems that drive engagement, behaviour change and adoption at scale.
  • Demonstrated hands-on use of GenAI in creative design, content, or production workflows.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams or leading complex work across designers, creators, technologies and subject matter experts.
  • Strong understanding of the professional services environment, with ability to prioritise, move quickly and maintain quality in a high-change environment.
  • Proficient in advanced capabilities in Excel (use of pivot tables and v-lookup) and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Zoom, MS Teams, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.\
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.

Education: Bachelor’s degree OR Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in Learning and Development, Education Technology, Business, Human Resources, Digital Transformation, or a related discipline is preferred. Certification in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, Digital Learning, AI, Change Management, or Human Resources is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Experience working in Learning (or a strong interest in developing a career in Learning).
  • Experience in professional services or corporate environments, working in international and diverse teams.

Certification Requirements: Certification/training in hosting MS Teams / Zoom / Webex sessions is an advantage (not mandatory).
