Join our External Audit team and you will help our clients meet their reporting requirements by providing an objective and independent examination of their financial statements, timely and constructive discussions with management on accounting and reporting matters, and a robust and clear perspective to audit committees.

Your key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business decision makers and engagement team contacts to communicate value and support service delivery.
- Provide guidance, expertise, and oversight of audit procedures, with a focus on complex and specialized issues.
- Collaborate with engagement teams to plan objectives and develop audit strategies that appropriately address risk.
- Develop an understanding of EY's Risk Management procedures and ensure they are embedded within engagement teams' work.
- Support the transition of new engagements and services while maintaining high-quality client service.
- Establish expectations regarding value delivery to engagement teams and clients.
- Proactively manage engagement workflows, including resource allocation, budget oversight, and monitoring progress against plans and performance standards.
- Identify and communicate relevant trends, developments, and key performance drivers impacting clients.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of clients' industries and marketplaces.
- Demonstrate professionalism, competence, and clear communication when working with engagement teams and clients.
- Identify opportunities to standardize and optimize Assurance processes across a portfolio of clients.
- Lead, coach, and develop Assistant Managers, Seniors, and Staff by fostering accountability, encouraging independent thinking, delegating effectively, and providing performance feedback and mentoring.
- Foster collaboration and maintain productive relationships across engagement teams and service lines.
- Leverage technology and knowledge-sharing to enhance service delivery and support continuous learning.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of technical and professional skills training.
- Lead engagement teams to deliver high-quality work on time, within budget, and in accordance with EY methodology.
- Generate new business opportunities by developing innovative ideas and solutions.
- Drive growth by understanding EY's service offerings and identifying opportunities to deliver additional value to clients.
- Develop and maintain long-term internal and external professional networks.

What we look for
- a qualified chartered accountant (ACCA or CPA) holding minimum 8 years of working experience.
- Experience as a senior auditor for a public accounting firm, or particular business/industry experience to meet special needs would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of International accounting and auditing standards (IFRS or UK GAAP)
