The opportunity

Our Guyana location is currently recruiting for a Workplace Services Coordinator to provide diversified administrative support to the EY Service Lines, in particular the Partners and Directors. This position calls on skills and knowledge to maintain a current understanding of firm policies, procedures and practices. The position operates to maintain the functional efficiency within the Assurance Service Line as it relates to administrative tasks.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Coordinate high-volume reception desk logistics and visitor hospitality.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all incoming stakeholders.
  • Handle office tasks, including organizing files and preparing documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Set up for meetings and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Provide polite and professional assistance via phone and email.
  • Make travel arrangements, including booking flights, cars, hotels, and restaurant reservations.
  • Provide real-time scheduling support by booking rooms and appointments.
  • Screen phone calls and route callers to the appropriate party.
  • Greet and assist visitors.
  • Perform specialized tasks as required.
  • Provide support for departments as needed.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
  • Must maintain confidentiality, reliability, and a positive presence in the workplace.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Upbeat and positive attitude

 

What we look for

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Public Management or related administrative field.
  • Post-secondary school certification in Customer Service, Administration, Secretarial Practice, Receptionist, or related areas is an asset.
