The opportunity

EY’s BMC function is continuing to grow and improve its marketing and communications technology stack across member firms worldwide. As part of a multi-year transformation agenda, we are investing in technology, delivery discipline and portfolio execution to improve the way BMC plans, governs and delivers change globally.

To support this transformation, EY is seeking a PMO professional for a 12-month Gig assignment to support the planning, governance, reporting and delivery oversight of initiatives across the BMC technology and enablement portfolio. The role will work closely with BMC leaders, product management teams, EY Enterprise Technology and cross-functional stakeholders to establish consistent delivery discipline, maintain portfolio visibility, track risks and dependencies, resourcing and budgets, and help ensure projects are executed with rigor, pace and quality.

Your key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain clear PMO governance, standards, templates, reporting routines and controls across the BMC technology and enablement portfolio.
• Maintain portfolio-level visibility of initiatives, milestones, delivery health, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions and resourcing constraints.
• Coordinate governance forums, leadership updates and decision-making processes, ensuring actions, owners, escalations and outcomes are clearly documented and followed through.
• Support prioritization across competing demands by providing transparent information on progress, constraints, risks, dependencies, capacity and delivery trade-offs.
• Prepare concise, accurate and decision-ready portfolio and project reporting for senior stakeholders, highlighting blockers, trends, escalation points and recommended next actions.
• Drive adoption of practical PMO processes across BMC, EY Technology, vendors and regional or global stakeholders, reinforcing consistency without adding unnecessary complexity.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize and strengthen delivery governance, reporting and ways of working.
• Monitor and track project plans, confidently reviewing progress on delivery calls and proactively following up with stakeholders to obtain updates, resolve gaps and keep milestones on track.

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong PMO, portfolio governance or project delivery capability in complex, matrixed organizations, ideally working across business, technology and vendor teams.
• Good understanding of marketing, communications, enterprise technology or enablement environments, with the ability to quickly grasp business needs and delivery implications.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage portfolio data, governance activity, reporting cycles and multiple stakeholder inputs accurately.
• Clear communicator who can translate delivery complexity into practical insights, actions and decisions for both delivery teams and senior stakeholders.
• Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to build trust, influence without formal authority and keep teams aligned around governance expectations and outcomes.
• Solution-focused and resilient, with the persistence to remove blockers, manage ambiguity and maintain delivery momentum across a broad portfolio.
  
  

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Proven experience in a PMO, portfolio coordination, project governance, project management or delivery operations role (3+ years of experience) in a global, regional or complex matrixed environment, utilizing project management technology solutions to support project delivery.
• Experience supporting technology, digital, marketing, communications, transformation or enablement portfolios or programmes.
• Excellent planning, tracking, reporting and governance skills, with a strong command of PMO and project management fundamentals.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, cross-functional delivery teams, vendors and/or offshore resources.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, escalate effectively, maintain accurate portfolio information and produce high-quality written updates and PMO artefacts.
  
  

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Project management, PMO, agile, SAFe, PRINCE2, PMP or similar certification or working knowledge.
• Experience with portfolio management, delivery governance, change management, operational improvement, or transformation office environments.
• Confidence working with reporting tools, portfolio dashboards, project management systems or collaborative delivery platforms.
• Experience working in a cross-border role or supporting globally distributed teams.

Technologies and Tools

• Expert in MS Project / Planner/ Word / PowerPoint / Excel - working knowledge of MS office.
• Azure DevOps exposure (desirable)
