Let us introduce you the job offer by EY GDS Poland – a member of the global integrated service delivery center network by EY.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with German to strengthen our Financial Services Consulting capability in Poland, with a focus on Wealth & Asset Management, banking and capital markets transformation.
This role is designed for candidates who can connect business needs with delivery solutions across front-to-back processes, securities operations, post-trade, settlement, reporting, regulatory change, platform integration, data flows, and operational readiness, without being limited to one specific client or system landscape.

The opportunity

As a Senior WAM Business Analyst with German, you will support complex transformation programs for German-speaking financial services clients. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and delivery leads to understand business needs, structure requirements, analyze processes and support implementation of practical, high-quality solutions.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you will act as a senior business analysis expert and a trusted delivery partner across international transformation projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead business analysis activities across Wealth & Asset Management, capital markets and securities transformation projects.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops with German-speaking business stakeholders, product owners, operations teams and technology representatives.
  • Elicit, structure and document business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and target operating model inputs.
  • Analyze front-to-back processes across areas such as order management, post-trade, settlement, custody, asset servicing, reporting, regulatory change, migration and operational readiness.
  • Translate business requirements into clear delivery artefacts that can be understood by technology, testing, operations and project management teams.
  • Support gap analysis, process optimization, business process redesign, controls definition and operating model improvements.
  • Coordinate with technical teams on system interfaces, data flows, mappings, integration requirements and dependencies with external providers or internal platforms.
  • Support test planning, UAT preparation, defect analysis, business acceptance and go-live readiness activities.
  • Prepare clear status updates, decision materials and stakeholder communication in English and German.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, quality-focused delivery culture and support junior team members where needed.

Skills and attributes for success

You will make an impact by combining senior business analysis discipline, German-language stakeholder management and practical understanding of Wealth & Asset Management / capital markets transformation. In particular, you will bring:

  • Business analysis & delivery leadership: ability to lead requirements elicitation, structure complex business problems, facilitate workshops, document user stories / acceptance criteria, and translate business needs into clear delivery artefacts for technology, operations, testing and project teams.
  • Financial services domain understanding: practical exposure to Wealth & Asset Management, banking or capital markets processes, ideally including front-to-back securities lifecycle, post-trade, settlement, custody, asset servicing, reporting, regulatory change, data migration, platform integration or operational readiness.
  • German-speaking stakeholder communication: confidence working with German-speaking business and technology stakeholders, preparing high-quality documentation in English and German, and bridging business, technology and operations perspectives in international transformation environments.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Several years of experience as a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in financial services, preferably within Wealth & Asset Management, banking, capital markets, securities operations or post-trade transformation.
  • Very good German and English language skills, with ability to facilitate workshops and prepare business-facing documentation in a German-speaking project environment.
  • Experience in front-to-back process analysis, requirements management and delivery support across business, technology, operations and testing teams.
  • Understanding of at least several relevant domains, such as securities lifecycle, settlement, custody, asset servicing, fund operations, portfolio management, risk, reporting, regulatory change, data migration, system integration or operational readiness.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience with delivery tools and methods such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Agile / Scrum, BPMN, process mapping, test management or defect management.
  • Experience working with data, reporting or interfaces, including SQL, relational data models, data mapping, reconciliation, reporting logic or system integration concepts.
  • Exposure to German-speaking financial services clients, cross-border delivery models or consulting-led transformation programs.

What we look for

We look for professionals who can structure ambiguity, communicate clearly and translate business complexity into actionable delivery outcomes.

The right candidate combines a client-centric mindset, strong ownership, teamwork and curiosity about how Wealth & Asset Management organizations transform their processes, platforms and operating models.
