Senior PLM Consultant - Katowice

 

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in process industry (Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Food & Beverages, Life Sciences) and either of SAP, Siemens, Dassault, PTC, Centric, Neo PLM modules. The consultant will be responsible for gathering business requirements, configuring and designing solutions, testing, supporting master data management, and ensuring smooth implementation and ongoing support of PLM processes across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyse and translate business requirement into functional specifications for product development, compliance, and lifecycle management.
  • Configure and support PLM modules, including:
    • Specification Management
    • Recipe/Formulation Management
    • Document Management System
    • Engineering Change Management (ECM)
    • Classification & Characteristics
  • Participate in system design and solution architecture discussions to support business processes
  • Collaborate & guide technical teams for system configuration & customization to meet customer requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PLM with other ERP, DMS & analytics systems
  • Develop and execute test strategies and scripts for the validation of implemented functionalities.
  • Support master data management by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of product-related data.
  • Provide user training, create documentation, and support knowledge transfer.
  • Assist in managing and resolving defects, maintaining logs and reports using tools such as JIRA, Solution Manager, or HP ALM.
  • Ensure high standards of data quality assurance through proactive monitoring and validation procedures.
  • Work closely with technical teams for system enhancements, interface design, and data migrations.
  • Support compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, REACH, GxP) by configuring PLM workflows.
  • Stay updated on the latest PLM capabilities, innovations, and industry best practices.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6–8 years of hands-on experience in PLM implementation and support roles, preferably within the process industry domain.
  • Strong functional knowledge of PLM, including Recipe Development, Specification Database, and Change Management.
  • Proficiency in system design, process mapping, and preparation of functional documentation.
  • Skilled in developing and executing test strategies and scripts using tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or Solution Manager.
  • Familiarity with defect management, change request tracking, and issue resolution frameworks
  • Experience with integration points across ERP systems
  • Good understanding of data governance principles and master data lifecycle management.
  • Understanding of integration architecture, including interfaces with external tools (e.g., LIMS, MES).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP, Siemens, Dassault, PTC, Centric, Neo PLM environments.
  • Experience working in process industries such as pharmaceuticals or consumer goods.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Hybrid project methodologies.
  • Certification in PLM or related modules is a plus.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related fields.
