Senior Manager – Business Consulting 

 

The opportunity

EY GDS Poland is significantly scaling its Business Consulting practice. We are looking for Senior Managers who combine consulting delivery excellence with commercial drive and people leadership. Depending on your background, your domain focus will sit in one of our priority areas: Business Transformation, SAP-enabled change, or AI Implementation. Your market focus will align to one of our key geographies: UK & Ireland, DACH, or broader Europe.

Regardless of specialisation, this is a four-dimensional role. You build demand, develop capability, grow people, and own delivery quality. All four. Not one or two.

 

What you’ll actually do

Demand & Business Development

  ∙  Build trusted working relationships with EY Member Firm partners and senior managers in your target market - these are your primary internal clients

  ∙  Co-develop go-to-market propositions with Member Firm teams and actively participate in account planning, proposals, and client conversations

  ∙  Identify pipeline opportunities within existing EY accounts and bring them forward jointly with Member Firm partners

  ∙  Maintain active visibility in the EY internal community relevant to your geography and domain - practice meetings, account reviews, sector forums

  ∙  Understand your market well enough to advise Member Firm partners on how to position GDS Poland credibly and compellingly

 

Competency & Offering Development

  ∙  Own and continuously evolve GDS Poland’s proposition in your domain - methodology, tools, assets, differentiation

  ∙  Translate market trends and client needs into practical, deliverable GDS offerings

  ∙  Build reusable delivery assets that accelerate programmes and demonstrate GDS capability to Member Firm partners

 

People Development

  ∙  Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of managers and consultants in your space

  ∙  Set the performance bar and actively coach - you raise standards, not just maintain them

  ∙  Build commercial awareness in your team, not just delivery capability

  ∙  Create succession depth so the practice grows beyond any single individual

 

Delivery Excellence

  ∙  Own quality and client satisfaction across programmes in your domain

  ∙  Ensure delivery is on time, on budget, and to a standard that generates repeat business and referrals within EY

  ∙  Act as senior escalation point and quality reviewer on complex engagements

 

What you bring

  ∙  12–15 years consulting experience, at least 5 years on a leadership position

  ∙  Proven track record of delivering complex consulting programmes - and contributing commercially to winning them

  ∙  Deep expertise in at least one domain: Business Transformation, SAP S/4HANA, or AI-enabled change

  ∙  Familiarity with at least one key market: UK & Ireland, Germany/DACH, France, or Nordics

  ∙  Experience working in or alongside a GDS/offshore delivery model - you understand the dynamics and thrive in them

  ∙  Strong internal influencing skills - you work through Member Firm partners, not around them

  ∙  Track record of building and developing teams, not just managing workstreams

  ∙  English mandatory. German, French, or another European language a strong advantage

  ∙  Poland-based. Regular travels.
