The opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Product Incubation Manager to support the execution of proofs of concept for innovative solutions across our core finance systems. This role plays a key part in operationalizing ideas that leverage automation and artificial intelligence to improve financial processes and drive efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in finance, technology, and product delivery, with a hands-on approach to managing initiatives and coordinating across teams. In this role you will:
- Collaborate with Global Process and Product Owners, the Product Incubation Lead and Engineering Lead to translate transformation opportunities into actionable plans and support the development of business cases and implementation roadmaps.
- Coordinate with Functional and Technical team members to ensure solutions are designed and delivered to meet user needs and deliver measurable process improvements.
- Manage the execution of proofs of concept by working closely with Technology teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, scalability, and operational standards.
- Oversee the functional documentation and knowledge transfer process to ensure a smooth handover of viable POCs to the Product Delivery team for further development, testing, and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ideation – Collaborate with Process Owners, and Product Owners to evaluate new transformation ideas, provide input on feasibility, and assist in developing business cases and transformation roadmaps.
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis – Facilitate sessions with Global Process and Product Owners to gather and document current and future-state processes, supporting effective and detailed solution design.
- Solution Design & Architecture – Assist in designing and implementing intuitive, low-maintenance technical solutions that align with the Mercury and ET technology ecosystems.
- Cross Team Collaboration – Work with counterparts across the organization to ensure POCs adhere to EY Architecture standards, performance requirements, scalability, and production controls.
- Team Support – Support team coordination by assisting with workload distribution, promoting continuous improvement, and contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Quality Assurance & Documentation – Participate in testing, validation, and documentation of proposed solutions and POCs to ensure readiness for transition to the Product Delivery team.
- Proof of Concept Execution and Documentation – Support the end-to-end execution of POCs by contributing to timely delivery and preparing documentation, technical specifications, and knowledge transfer materials for seamless transition to delivery teams.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement – Stay informed on emerging technologies and support the introduction of forward-thinking concepts and solutions to enhance innovation and process improvement across the Mercury landscape.
Skills and attributes for success
- 5+ years of experience in SAP with a key focus but not limited to FI-CO modules. Solid understanding of RFC Function Modules, BAPIs, Tables and Views across the different SAP modules.
- 3+ years of experience in Power Platform with a key focus but not limited to Power Apps, Power Automate, AI Builder, Dataverse, Copilot and Power BI.
- Working knowledge of agentic AI concepts, integration technologies, APIs, and protocols.
- Strong understanding of finance-related business processes in large enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience working in matrixed, multicultural environments, collaborating across time zones and functions.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a focus on team execution and delivery.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to managing tasks, resolving issues, and supporting innovation initiatives.

Ideally, you’ll also have
- SAP certification
- Power Platform certification
- Working experience in Microsoft Fabric.
- Prior experience working for a large, global organization with a complex environment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
