Location: Katowice - 2 days in office / 3 days remote
Manager – Business Consulting | EY GDS Poland
The opportunity
EY GDS Poland is building its next generation of Business Consulting leadership. We are looking for Managers who are ready to step into a role with real commercial and delivery ownership — not just execution. Depending on your background, your domain focus will sit in one of our priority areas: Business Transformation, SAP-enabled change, AI Implementation, or market development for a specific geography. This is the role where you stop being a strong individual contributor and start being a leader who builds something.
What you’ll actually do
Demand & Business Development
∙ Support and increasingly lead business development activity alongside Senior Managers and Member Firm partners
∙ Build your own network within EY Member Firm teams in your target market or domain
∙ Contribute actively to proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations - not as a support function, but as a visible participant
∙ Develop your market or domain knowledge to the point where you can have credible conversations with senior clients and partners independently
Competency & Offering Development
∙ Contribute to the development and refinement of GDS Poland’s offering in your domain
∙ Build and maintain delivery assets, methodologies, and tools that raise the quality bar
∙ Stay current on developments in your domain and bring relevant insights to the team
People Development
∙ Lead and develop a small team of consultants and analysts
∙ Set clear expectations, provide structured feedback, and actively develop your people
∙ Begin building the leadership habits that will define your Senior Manager profile
Delivery Excellence
∙ Own delivery quality on your workstreams and engagements end to end
∙ Manage client relationships at working level - building trust and generating positive feedback that supports repeat business
∙ Proactively manage risks and escalate early - no surprises
What you bring
∙ 7–10 years consulting experience, with at least 2–3 years at Manager level or equivalent
∙ Solid delivery track record in at least one domain: Business Transformation, SAP, AI-enabled change, or a related consulting area
∙ Early commercial exposure - you’ve been in client conversations, contributed to proposals, and understand how consulting work is won
∙ Familiarity with at least one key market: UK & Ireland, DACH, France, or Nordics - either through direct experience or language
∙ Genuine ambition to move into a senior leadership role - this is a stepping stone, not a destination
∙ Strong interpersonal skills - you build relationships naturally, internally and externally
∙ English mandatory. German, French, or another European language a strong advantage
∙ Poland-based. Travel expected
