Let us introduce you the job offer by EY GDS Poland – a member of the global integrated service delivery center network by EY.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Business Analyst with German to strengthen our Financial Services Consulting capability in Poland, with a focus on Wealth & Asset Management, banking and capital markets transformation.
This role is designed for candidates who can lead business analysis delivery and connect business priorities with practical delivery solutions across front-to-back processes, securities operations, post-trade, settlement, reporting, regulatory change, data flows, system integration, testing and operational readiness.

The opportunity

As a Lead WAM Business Analyst with German, you will take ownership of business analysis delivery within complex transformation programs for German-speaking financial services clients. You will lead workstream-level analysis activities, guide senior and junior analysts, manage stakeholder alignment, structure requirements and support delivery of practical, high-quality solutions.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you will act as a business analysis lead, workstream manager and trusted delivery partner across international transformation projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead business analysis workstreams across Wealth & Asset Management, banking, capital markets and securities transformation projects.
  • Own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle, including discovery, elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, prioritization, traceability and change control.
  • Facilitate senior stakeholder workshops with German-speaking business, product, operations, technology, risk, compliance and project teams.
  • Translate strategic, regulatory or operational objectives into clear business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery roadmaps.
  • Analyze front-to-back processes across areas such as order management, post-trade, settlement, custody, asset servicing, reporting, regulatory change, migration, operating model and readiness.
  • Coordinate with architecture, data, testing, PMO and delivery teams on interfaces, data flows, mappings, dependencies, defects, risks and solution decisions.
  • Support gap analysis, process optimization, business process redesign, operating model definition, control design and implementation planning.
  • Oversee test preparation, UAT readiness, defect triage, business acceptance, go-live readiness and transition to business-as-usual activities.
  • Prepare management-ready materials, status updates, decision papers and escalation notes in English and German.
  • Coach and review the work of business analysts, support quality assurance of deliverables and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance delivery culture.

Skills and attributes for success

You will make an impact by combining lead business analysis capability, German-language stakeholder leadership and practical understanding of Wealth & Asset Management / capital markets transformation. In particular, you will bring:

  • Business analysis leadership: ability to lead analysis workstreams, structure complex business problems, manage requirements lifecycle, facilitate senior workshops, review deliverables and guide other analysts from discovery through implementation and business acceptance.
  • Financial services transformation expertise: practical exposure to Wealth & Asset Management, banking or capital markets processes, ideally including front-to-back securities lifecycle, post-trade, settlement, custody, asset servicing, reporting, regulatory change, data migration, platform integration or operational readiness.
  • German-speaking stakeholder and delivery management: confidence working with German-speaking senior stakeholders, preparing high-quality documentation in English and German, managing priorities, risks and dependencies, and bridging business, technology, operations, testing and project management perspectives.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Several years of experience as a Lead Business Analyst, Manager, Senior Business Analyst or Functional Lead in financial services, preferably within Wealth & Asset Management, banking, capital markets, securities operations or post-trade transformation.
  • Very good German and English language skills, with ability to facilitate senior stakeholder workshops and prepare business-facing documentation in a German-speaking project environment.
  • Proven experience leading requirements management, process analysis and delivery support across business, technology, operations, testing and project management teams.
  • Understanding of multiple relevant domains, such as securities lifecycle, settlement, custody, asset servicing, fund operations, portfolio management, risk, reporting, regulatory change, data migration, system integration, test management or operational readiness.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience managing small BA teams or leading workstreams in consulting-led, cross-border transformation programs.
  • Experience with delivery tools and methods such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Agile / Scrum, BPMN, process mapping, test management or defect management.
  • Experience working with data, reporting or interfaces, including SQL, relational data models, data mapping, reconciliation, reporting logic or system integration concepts.

We look for professionals who can lead through ambiguity, bring structure to complex transformation topics and translate business complexity into actionable delivery outcomes.
