In this role, you will design and implement applications that address real business needs and directly contribute to EY’s purpose of Building a better working world. You’ll work with modern architectures, collaborate closely with skilled engineers, and influence key technical decisions in a global environment.

Your key responsibilities

• Designing and developing advanced, scalable backend solutions in Java that meet high standards of reliability and performance.
• Ensuring high code quality through participation in code reviews and continuous knowledge sharing with the team.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, improving application performance, and optimizing system behavior.
• Contributing to architectural decisions and co‑creating the technical landscape of the platform.
• Supporting less experienced team members and fostering team growth.
• Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date technical and project documentation.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Commercial experience in Java development and practical knowledge of the Java ecosystem: Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST API, Microservices, Web Services, Maven.
• Hands‑on experience with BPMN 2.0 and tools such as Flowable, Camunda, Activiti, or jBPM.
• Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, PubSub).
• Experience working with SQL and Git.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience with multithreading, distributed systems, and application monitoring (e.g., ELK stack).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms — ideally GCP, but AWS or Azure are also valuable.
• Basic understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
