The opportunity

 

As a Responsible AI Consultant in Digital Risk competency at EY GDS Poland, you will be part of a high-performing, international team supporting organizations in building governance, compliance and control frameworks for enterprise AI use.

In this role, you will help organizations move from ad hoc AI experimentation to structured, transparent and auditable AI lifecycle management aligned with regulatory requirements such as the EU AI Act and standards such as ISO 42001. You will work at the intersection of technology, risk, compliance and ethics, translating AI principles into practical governance and control frameworks

 

Your key responsibilities

 

As a Consultant, you will contribute to AI governance, compliance and risk management engagements. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting design and implementation of Responsible AI governance frameworks, including policies, principles, operating models and steering structures
  • Assisting in development of enterprise AI inventories, use-case intake processes and EU AI Act risk classification approaches
  • Supporting design of controls for high-risk AI systems, including data governance, transparency, explainability, human oversight and monitoring
  • Performing gap assessments and readiness evaluations for EU AI Act and ISO 42001 (AIMS), including control mapping and remediation planning
  • Conducting assessments of fairness, bias, explainability, accountability, privacy, safety and model risk across AI use cases
  • Supporting development of governance documentation, risk reporting and evidence models for audit and regulatory readiness
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across Legal, Risk, Compliance, Data Science, IT and business teams to align AI governance with enterprise risk frameworks

  • Ability to connect AI risk concepts with business, compliance and governance requirements
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage cross-functional stakeholders
  • Structured approach to documentation, governance design and reporting
  • Curiosity and willingness to work at the intersection of technology, risk and emerging regulatory frameworks
  • Confident to deal with senior level contacts, internally and externally  
  • Able to effectively summarize and conclude on work, applying appropriate documentation standards
  • Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in risk, compliance, data governance, IT audit or AI governance-related roles
  • A university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Law, Risk Management or a related field
  • English working proficiency (B2 and above)
  • Working proficiency (B2 and above) in at least one additional language: French, Spanish, German, Dutch or Italian

 

Working experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • AI governance, model risk or algorithmic accountability
  • Data governance, IT risk or regulatory compliance
  • Internal or external audit with exposure to emerging technologies

 

Understanding at least one of the following frameworks or domains:

  • EU AI Act, GDPR or AI-related regulatory frameworks
  • ISO 42001 AIMS requirements and Annex A control mapping, NIST AI RMF or responsible AI principles
  • Risk and control design, governance frameworks or compliance programs

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • Knowledge of AI/ML lifecycle concepts and associated risks (i.e. bias, explainability, model risk)
  • Experience conducting AI risk assessments or governance framework implementations
  • Understanding of interaction between AI regulation and broader frameworks (i.e. GDPR, sector regulations)
  • Experience preparing audit-ready documentation, control evidence and reporting for regulators or senior stakeholders

 

Experience profile:

  • Background in data governance, IT risk, compliance, audit or digital ethics
  • Past experience in at least one of the following industries: financial services, fintech, healthcare, pharma, public sector, government, education, HR technology, telecom, manufacturing, automotive or technology-driven organizations
  • Experience with AI governance implementation or model oversight programs is a strong advantage

 

Certifications:

  • At least one of the following certifications: AIGP, ISO 42001
  • Additional credentials such as AI governance training or cloud AI certifications are an advantage
