Cybersecurity Solution Architect – Manager
Let us introduce you the job offer by EY GDS Poland – a member of the global integrated service delivery center network by EY.
We are delighted to extend an invitation for you to join the esteemed Cybersecurity Detection & Response (CDR) team within the GDS PL Consulting division. This pivotal role focuses on designing and delivering monitoring, detection and response solutions using Microsoft technologies like Defender Suite—Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel.
You will not respond to incidents—you will prevent them by building the systems and frameworks that detect and respond autonomously. You’ll work upstream of Security Operations, enabling scalable, effective defense by shaping the architecture behind modern security operations.
The opportunity
In this role, you will contribute to a variety of project-based activities, including solution design, deployment, consultancy, architectural migrations, performance optimizations, and incident response. These projects will differ in scope and complexity, requiring adaptability and a willingness to work across multiple domains. Your assignments will be aligned with your technical expertise and professional interests to ensure effective delivery and growth.
Your key responsibilities
As a Cybersecurity Solution Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of advanced security solutions across hybrid and cloud environments. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to architect scalable, resilient, and compliant cybersecurity frameworks. Your role will also include mentoring team members, shape strategic initiatives, and driving innovation within the Cybersecurity Detection & Response (CDR) practice.
Skills and attributes for success
- Solid experience designing detection and response solutions using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender products, and related automation and orchestration capabilities such as Microsoft Defender XDR and Sentinel SOAR
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms like AWS or GCP is beneficial, particularly for integrating external data sources and extending detection coverage
- Ability to design scalable detection and response architectures that reflect both technical requirements and business goals
- Strong understanding of core detection and response domains such as log management, data normalization, alerting strategies, use case development and incident mitigation.
- Experience planning and leading migrations of detection and response solutions, including platform transitions and integration of legacy systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage confidently with both technical and business stakeholders
- Proven success in leading architecture projects and guiding teams through planning, decision-making, and implementation
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Familiarity with threat modeling frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK or NIST
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards like GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or PCI-DSS
- Relevant certifications that demonstrate architectural depth in security, such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, TOGAF, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams on security solution design and delivery
- Background in areas that support detection and response architecture, such as threat detection, automation strategy, or security operations
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior engineers and architects

- Innovative Mindset
- Analytical Skills
- Project Management Experience
- Collaboration Skills
- Continuous Learning
