This role is a resource management and workforce-planning specialist position that activates the day-to-day operations of the Experience Management (XM) function, with a primary focus on our Audit sub-service line. You will proactively manage the talent pool to help maximize productivity, respond to business demand and deliver on our talent promise.
You will achieve this by allocating the right people to the right roles at the right time, supporting the prioritization of project demand and identifying opportunities to strengthen available supply. Your specialist knowledge, analytical insight and stakeholder relationships will be central to optimizing capacity and developing our people through valuable on-the-job experiences.
Your key responsibilities
- Act as the country lead for strategic experience allocation, workforce planning and capacity management within the assigned talent pool.
- Allocate the right people to the right roles at the right time, balancing business priorities, individual capability and development needs.
- Manage employee utilization and support the achievement of agreed utilization and productivity targets.
- Maintain direct connectivity with pursuit and engagement teams to understand pipeline activity, anticipated demand and changing resource requirements.
- Support project-demand prioritization and supply augmentation by identifying resource gaps and proposing practical deployment options.
- Actively manage bench and available capacity by understanding individual capabilities and proactively identifying suitable opportunities for available resources.
- Optimize experiences by identifying cross-functional, cross-border and cross-region allocation opportunities that improve productivity and broaden development exposure.
- Build trusted relationships with leaders, engagement teams and employees across the talent pool, providing clear and timely workforce insights.
- Use business systems, workforce data and analysis to support informed resourcing decisions, reporting and forward planning.
- Support individual capability building by connecting people with the learning, coaching and experiences needed for continued growth.
- Support the roll-out of initiatives on behalf of the resourcing leader and identify opportunities to improve XM processes, team performance and stakeholder experience.
- Handle sensitive employee and business information with discretion, integrity and strict confidentiality.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey workforce information clearly and confidently.
- Refined stakeholder and relationship-management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels.
- Strong analytical capability, including advanced Excel skills and confidence working with workforce, utilization and capacity data.
- Sound commercial acumen and the ability to balance business demand, productivity and employee-development priorities.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working effectively within a high-performing team.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and resilience in an evolving, diverse and multicultural environment.
- Strong personal integrity and consistent adherence to confidentiality requirements.
- The ability to listen carefully, exercise sound judgment and constructively challenge where needed.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Relevant experience in workforce planning, resource management, experience management and/or business operations.
- Experience working within a professional services environment or another complex, people-based business.
- Demonstrated experience managing stakeholder relationships and supporting operational decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of business systems and experience interpreting data to generate practical workforce insights.
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Experience collaborating closely with colleagues and leaders in a high-performing environment.
Ideally, you’ll also
- Have experience supporting Audit, Assurance or another professional-services talent pool.
- Have hands-on exposure to utilization management, demand forecasting, capacity planning, bench management and talent deployment.
- Bring experience in cross-functional, cross-border or regional resource allocation.
- Have people-management, coaching or development experience.
- Be comfortable supporting process improvement, change initiatives and the adoption of data-led workforce practices.
What we look for
We are looking for people who combine excellent listening skills, collaboration, influencing ability and commercial acumen. You will be comfortable making thoughtful, data-informed resourcing decisions while balancing business needs with the development and experience of our people. The ability to thrive in an ever-changing, diverse and multicultural environment, deliver exceptional quality and demonstrate genuine passion for your work will set you up for success.
