The opportunity
Our FAAS practice is one of the fastest growing areas of our business. As a result, we have a recruitment need for a Senior to join our team to support big scale projects ranging from GAAP Conversion and implementation of new accounting standards to FSCP and financial policies and procedures support.
Your key responsibilities
In this role you’ll work directly with a wide range of clients across several industries to assess the impact of new accounting standards, proposed transactions or other regulatory changes.
You will assist with trade reconciliation across both physical deals and paper derivatives (ETD – Exchange Traded Derivatives and OTC – Over the Counter Derivatives) covering different instrument types. While assisting with the reconciliation of execution broker, exchange, and clearing broker fees on executed trading activity with underlying records.
Moreover, you will aid management in identifying break resolutions, including assistance with requesting and processing any necessary trade capture amendments and deal updates.
You will manage the invoicing and settlements process for physical trade deals covering cargo invoices, regas, vessel charters, shipping and freight ancillary costs, and all paper settlements covering both ETD and OTC.
You will reconcile clearing broker statements, open trade equity, initial margin, trade realizations, and fees in the month to balances booked in ETRM and SAP systems.
Furthermore, you will assist management in processing OTC ISDA transactions, commodity swap deals, and monitoring trade confirmation signoffs for both physical and paper derivatives deals.
You will also aid management in processing brokerage invoices, reconciling statements, and settling invoices

To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor's degree in finance and / or accounting
- Minimum four years of experience working as an auditor/ consultant or technical resource for a public accounting firm
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing processes and techniques
- Proven experience with IFRS
- Strong technical skills and recognized cautious risk management ability
- Solid team working skills with the ability to work with different people from diverse backgrounds in the diverse FAAS team
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.
- Ability and comfort level in researching client inquires and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies
- Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, as necessary
- Keen to develop technical and other attributes of assigned team members
Ideally, you’ll also
- Masters or MBA qualification holder.
- Sector experience in one or more of the following: Construction, Energy, Financial Services, Government & Public Sector, Healthcare
