The opportunity
EY is looking for a Senior Consultant to join Jordan FAAS team to lead on complex advisory engagements and support growth of the business. This opportunity is located in our centre of excellence in Pakistan.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant, you'll participate in and manage client engagements, contributing in both financial and non- financial service sectors. You’ll collaborate with the partner, senior manager and client to determine a FAAS strategy that appropriately addresses risk and manages client expectations relating to deliverables, while ensuring FAAS engagement teams understand the client's needs and expectations and that the work product is client-focused, clear, accurate and well-presented.
Timely delivery of projects in compliance with regulatory frameworks is essential, as is working with other service lines in providing an integrated service delivery. You’ll monitor performance of the team against budget as well as identify and communicate relevant trends, developments and key performance drivers relevant to the client. Sales of new FAAS work will also be paramount in this role.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor's degree and approximately five years of related work experience
- An undergraduate or master's degree in accounting and/or another appropriate academic major
- At least 5 years of Big 4 experience and particular business / industry experience to meet special needs
- Deliver monthly reports summarizing budget performance, variances, and key financial insights.
- Expertise in ERP systems, specifically SAP, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience to ensure efficient integration with budgetary processes.
- Assist in managing, controlling, and optimizing the budget and cost control functions, aligning with operational objectives and financial guidelines, including driver-based budgeting methodologies.
- Collaborate with the Finance departments to challenge and refine budget assumptions for improved accuracy and feasibility.
- Have expertise in implementing and enhancing driver-based budgeting by identifying relevant budget drivers and developing/refining models to suit operational requirements.
- Assist in designing and developing processes and procedures related to budgeting to enhance efficiency.
