The opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated Senior/Assistant Manager to join our PPG team as Rapid Support. This position is focused on ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), primarily on managing risks associated with audit acceptance/review of PACE, performing adhoc audit file reviews, and adhoc support in ensuring that the firm’s ISQM 1 (International Standard on Quality Management) controls are adhered to. The ideal candidate will have experience in audit methodology, quality management, risk assessment, and file review procedures, as well as a keen eye for identifying and mitigating risks in the audit process.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for performing engagement acceptance and continuance procedures through the PACE process. This includes reviewing and assessing potential audit engagements to ensure compliance with applicable International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), regulatory requirements, and firm policies prior to acceptance. You will evaluate client integrity, financial position, and the overall risk profile of prospective engagements while considering factors such as auditor independence, conflicts of interest, and the firm's capability to deliver a high-quality audit.
You will work closely with audit engagement teams and key stakeholders to assess the completeness and adequacy of client information, identify potential risks or concerns during the acceptance process, and ensure that all relevant matters are appropriately addressed before engagement approval. Your role will be critical in supporting informed decision-making and maintaining the firm's commitment to quality and professional standards.
As part of Ad Hoc Spot Review Support, you will be responsible for conducting detailed
reviews of audit files and engagement documentation to assess compliance with ISAs, internal audit methodology, firm policies, and regulatory requirements. You will identify quality, compliance, and documentation gaps, evaluate areas of audit risk, and communicate observations and recommendations to engagement teams in a clear and constructive manner.
You will also provide technical guidance and support to audit teams on auditing standards, audit methodology, quality requirements, and industry best practices. In addition, you will ensure that audit working papers and supporting documentation are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with the firm's quality and documentation standards, contributing to continuous improvement in audit quality and consistency across engagements.
In relation to ISQM 1 Controls Support, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring, and ongoing enhancement of the firm's Quality Management System in accordance with International Standard on Quality Management (ISQM) 1. This includes assisting in the execution of quality management controls, monitoring compliance with established quality objectives, supporting remediation activities where required, and contributing to initiatives aimed at strengthening the overall quality culture across the audit practice.

To qualify for the role, you must have
• Professional accounting qualification
• Experience as a Senior consultant or Assistant Manager with an international Audit firm
• Detailed understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies • Compliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Understanding of Q&RM procedures
• Project management, coaching, counselling and supervisory skills
