The role covers VAT and Sales Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, Payroll Tax and related regulatory obligations. You will work closely with Cluster Leads, Central Processes, Finance, Procurement, Accounts Payable and e-pay teams to coordinate filings and strengthen tax compliance across the region.

You will monitor country-specific regulatory developments, support tax audits and authority queries, and help build robust, consistent compliance processes suited to a complex multi-country environment.

Your key responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit VAT and Sales Tax returns for GCC countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar, as well as other MENA jurisdictions as applicable.
  • Maintain accurate VAT reconciliations covering input tax, output tax, imports and reverse-charge transactions.
  • Review tax codes and transaction classifications in SAP across entities.
  • Monitor frequent VAT regulatory changes, including KSA ZATCA and UAE Federal Tax Authority requirements, and support their correct application.
  • Support VAT refund claims, voluntary disclosures and responses to tax authority inquiries.

Direct tax and Corporate Income Tax compliance

  • Compile data and prepare Corporate Income Tax returns for jurisdictions with CIT regimes, including Oman, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and UAE Corporate Tax.
  • Assist with tax computations, adjustments and preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Support year-end tax provision calculations and audit requests.
  • Maintain compliance with transfer pricing documentation requirements where applicable, including in KSA, the UAE, Jordan and Egypt.

Withholding Tax filings

  • Calculate and prepare Withholding Tax submissions for relevant jurisdictions, including KSA, Jordan and Egypt.
  • Track WHT obligations relating to cross-border services and royalty payments.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Accounts Payable teams to support the correct application of WHT rates, double-tax treaty provisions and certificate issuance.
  • Respond to vendor queries regarding withheld amounts.

Payroll tax compliance

  • Work closely with e-pay teams to validate payroll tax, social security and employee withholding calculations.
  • Prepare and submit periodic payroll tax or social insurance filings, including for Egypt and Jordan where applicable.
  • Support annual employee tax reporting and issuance of statements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of country-specific employment tax rules.

Compliance monitoring, reporting and controls

  • Maintain a multi-country tax compliance calendar to help ensure all filings are completed on time.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly tax account reconciliations across relevant entities.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation to support audit readiness in each jurisdiction.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax policies and record-keeping requirements.

Tax authority engagement

  • Prepare documentation for tax audits, compliance reviews and information requests from authorities, including ZATCA, the UAE Federal Tax Authority, Oman Tax Authority and Egypt Tax Authority.
  • Coordinate with Cluster Leads to address assessments and notices.
  • Provide timely responses and follow-up for local regulatory queries.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong knowledge of MENA tax regulations and multi-jurisdiction compliance frameworks.
  • Practical experience preparing tax filings, reconciliations, computations and supporting schedules.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy across multi-entity reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and jurisdictions simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across borders and functions.
  • An analytical, proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Strong Excel capability for reconciliations, tax calculations and reporting.

Ideally, you'll also

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Taxation or a related discipline.
  • Three to five years of experience in tax compliance.
  • Experience handling tax filings across multiple MENA jurisdictions.
  • Hands-on exposure to GCC VAT, KSA ZATCA requirements and UAE Corporate Tax.
  • Experience using SAP and relevant tax portals, such as ZATCA, the UAE Federal Tax Authority portal and Oman Tax Portal.
  • Exposure to tax audits, transfer pricing documentation, voluntary disclosures or tax authority engagement.

What we look for

We are looking for a dependable tax professional who can take ownership of recurring compliance activities while maintaining accuracy across multiple entities and jurisdictions. You will be comfortable working with detailed financial data, collaborating with cross-functional teams and responding constructively to changing regulatory requirements.

Success in the role will be reflected through:

  • On-time completion of tax filings across applicable MENA jurisdictions.
  • Accuracy and completeness of tax filings, computations and reconciliations.
  • Reduced penalties, fines and compliance exceptions.
  • Timely, high-quality support for tax authority interactions.
  • Improved process efficiency and consistent documentation across the region.
