The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our FAAS team in the ICFR vertical. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal controls, financial reporting, and compliance frameworks, with hands-on experience in managing ICFR engagements for large and complex organizations. Prior experience in a Big 4 environment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • ICFR Framework & Documentation
    • Develop and maintain Risk and Control Matrices (RCMs) for financial reporting processes.
    • Prepare As-Is process documentation, flowcharts, and narratives for key business cycles.
    • Identify and document key risks and controls aligned with COSO and regulatory requirements.
  • Testing & Evaluation
    • Perform design and operating effectiveness testing of internal controls over financial reporting.
    • Document test results, identify deficiencies, and recommend remediation plans.
    • Coordinate with client teams to ensure timely completion of testing and remediation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Lead stakeholder meetings with finance, operations, and compliance teams to validate processes and controls.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and Audit Committees.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on ICFR compliance and optimization.
  • Project Management
    • Manage end-to-end ICFR engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting.
    • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.
    • Mentor junior team members and review their work for accuracy and completeness.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: CA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience: 6–8 years in ICFR, internal audit, or financial reporting advisory, preferably with Big 4 experience.
  • Strong understanding of COSO framework, SOX compliance, and IFRS.
  • Excellent project management and client relationship skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
