Job Summary

We are seeking an AI Engineer for Pakistan to design, develop, deploy, and operationalize AI and Machine Learning solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services, and Microsoft Power Platform.

The role will transform structured and unstructured data into production-ready AI solutions, develop and deploy machine learning models, integrate AI outputs into business processes, and support end-to-end delivery from data ingestion through model operationalization, monitoring, and handover.

The AI Engineer will work closely with the Delivery Lead, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing AI solutions aligned with business objectives.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, or Data Science experience.
• Experience developing and deploying machine learning models in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure AI Services.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources.
• Experience developing data pipelines, data transformation workflows, and AI-powered business solutions.
• Experience integrating AI and ML solutions with enterprise applications and APIs.
• Experience supporting model deployment, monitoring, performance optimization, and retraining processes.

Key Responsibilities

Data Ingestion & Preparation

• Develop secure connectivity to on-premises databases and file repositories.
• Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines within Microsoft Fabric.
• Design raw, staging, and curated data layers.
• Process structured and unstructured datasets for AI and analytics use cases.
• Implement OCR and text-extraction capabilities where required.
• Implement monitoring, logging, error handling, and pipeline resiliency controls.

Data Quality & Enhancement

• Perform data profiling and quality assessments.
• Define and implement data validation rules.
• Execute data cleansing, normalization, standardization, and de-duplication activities.
• Enrich datasets and prepare curated gold data assets for analytics and AI consumption.
• Develop data quality reporting and exception management processes.

Machine Learning Engineering

• Define machine learning approaches, features, training strategies, and evaluation metrics.
• Develop, train, validate, and optimize machine learning models.
• Perform feature engineering and model tuning activities.
• Evaluate model performance against agreed KPIs and business objectives.
• Document model assumptions, behavior, limitations, and performance characteristics.

Model Deployment & MLOps

• Package and deploy machine learning models for operational use.
• Develop API-based and batch-scoring capabilities.
• Implement model monitoring, performance tracking, and drift detection.
• Define and implement model retraining approaches and lifecycle management processes.
• Support production deployment and operational readiness activities.

AI Solution Integration

• Integrate machine learning models with enterprise applications and business processes.
• Develop APIs and backend services to expose AI capabilities.
• Enable AI-driven decision support and automation workflows.
• Support integration with Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and enterprise systems.
• Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability of deployed AI solutions.

Power Platform Enablement

• Design and implement Power Automate workflows consuming AI and ML outputs.
• Configure business process automation, notifications, approvals, and workflow integrations.
• Implement audit logging, exception handling, and retry mechanisms.
• Support secure integration through approved Microsoft connectors and gateways.

Analytics & Reporting Support

• Support creation of semantic models and curated datasets for reporting.
• Develop data models and KPI structures for Power BI consumption.
• Assist with dashboard validation and performance optimization.
• Support stakeholder reporting and AI insight visualization requirements.

Testing, Knowledge Transfer & Handover

• Execute unit, integration, and end-to-end testing activities.
• Validate data ingestion, model scoring, workflow execution, and reporting outputs.
• Support preparation of technical documentation and operational runbooks.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for business and IT stakeholders.
• Support go-live readiness and transition to support teams.
