The opportunity: 

We are looking for Tax Auditors to join the Tax Audit Support team in our Assurance Service Line. As a member of the Tax Audit Support team, you'll make a technical contribution to audit engagements by focusing on auditing tax areas. You'll actively establish internal and external relationships and identify and escalate potential business opportunities for the Firm. With a clear focus on anticipating and identifying risks, you'll escalate issues as appropriate. You'll ensure that the work delivered to clients and audit teams is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of the audit client’s business.
  • Interact with clients to collect data/information required for preparation of tax audit working papers.
  • Support the planning, execution and delivery of the tax aspects on audit engagements.
  • Clearly and accurately document the execution of tax audit procedures in line with the EY Global Audit Methodology.
  • Recognize and communicate potential tax issues.

 

To qualify for the role, you should have:

  • First Class or Second Class - Upper bachelor’s degree in: Accounting, Finance, any other Business-related field, Statistics, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics), Law or Computer Science.
  • Full or part professional qualification (CPA, ACCA or any other recognised qualification) is an added advantage.
  • Experience in external or internal audit is an added advantage.
