The Opportunity:
As a Senior Manager in EY Consulting, you will provide oversight to the Consulting business in Uganda, including all aspects related to business development, engagement execution, client relationship management and team management. You will provide market leadership, sector and client focused activities aimed at enhancing the EY brand in the market by ensuring that high-quality deliverables and outcomes that meet EY and relevant professional standards are met on all engagements.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy and Business Development
- Lead the development of an effective growth strategy for the Uganda Consulting business.
- Lead the identification of new potential clients across relevant sectors for the Uganda Consulting business.
- Lead the identification, qualification and pursuit process for potential engagement opportunities at existing and new clients.
- Actively develop, share and discuss relevant thought leadership with key clients and participate in pertinent professional and industry forums in order to enhance the EY brand.
Client relationship management
- Actively seek, establish, maintain and strengthen long-term external and internal client relationships.
- With support and guidance from partners, ensure that high quality client service is delivered on all client engagements by facilitating effective supervision of client engagement teams.
- Actively seek client feedback on all engagements, during and after engagement completion, in order to ensure that client expectations are fully met.
People Management
- Play a key role in the interview and recruitment of staff for the Consulting business.
- Create a positive learning culture and contribute towards the professional and career growth of Consulting staff through effective supervision, coaching, and mentorship.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide effective and constructive feedback to Consulting staff.
- Play a key role in the development of retention and capacity building strategies for Consulting staff.

Required educational qualifications, skills, competencies and work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, IT, or related field
- Master’s degree in business, Technology, or other relevant field will be an added advantage
- Professional qualifications in ACCA, CPA, CISA, or PMP is desirable
- 10-12 years' experience in a reputable Consulting or professional services firm
- 4–6 years in a Managerial grade or above
- Demonstrable experience and skills in leading and managing transformational and multifaceted engagements across key sectors
- Demonstrable experience and skills in managing large diverse teams to deliver transformational projects
- Working knowledge of AI and other emerging technologies
