The Opportunity:

As a Senior in EY Consulting’s Risk practice, you will run day-to-day workstreams on ERM, internal controls/SOX/ICS, internal audit, compliance and forensics projects. You will supervise associates, coordinate client stakeholders, and produce high-quality deliverables that meet EY and professional standards.

 

Practice Coverage (you may work across some or all of the following):

  • Enterprise Risk Management (ERM): risk appetite, RCSA, KRIs, risk registers, scenario analysis
  • Internal Controls & SOX/ICS: design, documentation, testing, remediation, controls automation
  • Internal Audit (outsourced/co-sourced): risk-based plans, audit universe, QAIP/IIA conformance reviews
  • Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM): credit, market, liquidity, ALM, ICAAP/ILAAP, stress testing, IFRS 9/17
  • Compliance & Regulatory: AML/CFT, KYC, sanctions, conduct risk, consumer protection, data privacy
  • Corporate Governance: board/committee effectiveness reviews, three lines model, policies & charters
  • Fraud Risk & Forensics: investigations, anti-fraud frameworks, whistleblowing, integrity due diligence
  • Third-Party/Vendor Risk; Operational Risk; Business Continuity & Resilience (ISO 22301)
  • Model Risk Management; ESG & Sustainability Risk

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Client Delivery & Workstream Management:
  • Execute risk assessments, RCSA workshops, process walkthroughs, controls design/testing and remediation support.
  • Develop audit programs, perform fieldwork, analyse findings and craft practical, prioritized recommendations.

 

  1. Stakeholder & Team Leadership:
  • Coordinate with client owners and EY managers/partners; review associates’ work; provide coaching and on-the-job training.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations suitable for senior management and boards.

 

  1. Quality & Methods:
  • Apply EY methodologies and relevant standards (COSO, COBIT, IIA, ISO); maintain robust working papers and evidence.
  • Leverage analytics and automation opportunities within engagements.

 

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Practical problem-solving and analytical skills; strong documentation discipline; excellent interpersonal skills.

 

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, IT/IS, Engineering or related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience across ERM, internal audit, internal controls/SOX/ICS, compliance/AML/KYC, or forensics.
  • Working knowledge of COSO, COBIT, ISO 22301/31000, IIA Standards; familiarity with banking/insurance regulatory environment is an advantage.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have:

    • Certifications or progress: CIA, ACCA/CPA, CISA, CAMS, CFE, ISO 22301/31000.
    • Exposure to data analytics/visualization (e.g., Power BI) and GRC tools.
