The opportunity: 

We are looking for Financial and Sustainability Reporting Specialists to join our Corporate Reporting Services and Financial Accounting and Advisory teams. As a member of the team, you'll make a technical contribution to client engagements and internal projects. You'll actively establish internal and external relationships and identify and escalate potential business opportunities for the Firm. With a clear focus on anticipating and identifying risks, you'll escalate issues as appropriate. You'll ensure that the work delivered to clients is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise in relevant accounting frameworks (IFRS Accounting Standards, ISSB Sustainability Reporting Standards, INPAS and IPSAS).
  • Provide technical accounting and financial reporting support to clients and internal teams as a financial and sustainability reporting subject matter specialist.
  • Drive implementation of new financial and sustainability reporting standards.
  • Keep up to date with changes to financial and sustainability reporting standards.
  • Perform pre-issuance review of financial statements and sustainability reports.
  • Compile financial statements and sustainability reports.
  • Be a member of our Professional Practice Group as a financial and sustainability reporting specialist.

 

To qualify for the role, you should have:

  • First Class or Second Class - upper bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, or any STEM degree   
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage
  • Full or part professional qualification (CPA, ACCA or other recognised qualification).
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards will be an added advantage
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar or related role or otherwise demonstrate ability and interest to quickly learn and handle complex technical financial and sustainability reporting matters.
