Talent Attraction, Candidate Experience & Employer Brand Manager
Job description
Talent Attraction, Candidate Experience & Employer Brand Manager
Shape the Future of Talent Attraction at EY Africa
At EY, we're looking for a strategic, digitally savvy, and commercially minded professional to lead our talent attraction, candidate experience, and employer brand agenda across Africa.
As the Talent Attraction, Candidate Experience & Employer Brand Manager, you will play a pivotal role in helping EY attract, engage, and convert top talent across graduate, student, and experienced hire audiences. Working at the intersection of Brand, Marketing & Communications (BMC) and Talent Acquisition, you will drive innovative recruitment marketing strategies that strengthen our employer brand while delivering measurable hiring outcomes.
This is more than a marketing role. It's an opportunity to influence how the EY story is experienced by current and future talent across the continent.
What You'll Do
You will lead EY Africa's recruitment marketing strategy by creating compelling attraction campaigns, enhancing candidate experiences, and building meaningful engagement across multiple talent segments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing attraction strategies for priority hiring needs, hard-to-fill roles, graduate programmes, and future skills.
- Enhancing the candidate journey from initial awareness through to offer acceptance, identifying opportunities to improve engagement and conversion.
- Bringing EY's Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to life through relevant and culturally resonant storytelling.
- Driving recruitment marketing performance through data-led decision-making and actionable insights.
- Leading recruitment marketing across careers platforms, social media, digital channels, events, email campaigns, and talent communities.
- Leveraging AI, automation, and innovative technologies to improve speed, personalization, effectiveness, and reporting.
- Building and nurturing talent communities to support future hiring needs and scarce-skill talent pipelines.
- Enabling employee advocacy by equipping leaders, recruiters, and employees with authentic content and storytelling tools.
What Success Looks Like
During your first 12 months, you will:
- Establish a strong operating model between BMC and Talent Acquisition.
- Review and enhance candidate journeys for both graduate and experienced hire audiences.
- Develop and implement a segmented FY27 attraction strategy.
- Launch recruitment marketing performance dashboards that connect activity to hiring outcomes.
- Pilot an always-on talent nurture programme for a priority audience.
- Create content and advocacy toolkits that empower leaders, recruiters, and employees to tell the EY story consistently and effectively.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking a performance marketer with a recruitment mindset.
You are someone who understands that attracting talent is more than running campaigns. You know how to connect employer branding, digital engagement, analytics, content, and candidate experience to drive meaningful recruitment outcomes.
You'll bring:
- Experience in recruitment marketing, employer branding, talent attraction, or related marketing disciplines.
- Strong digital marketing capabilities, including social media, web content, SEO, email marketing, and paid and organic digital channels.
- A data-driven approach and the ability to turn insights into action.
- An understanding of candidate behaviour and recruitment funnels.
- Curiosity and confidence in using AI and automation tools to improve performance.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across Talent, BMC, service lines, and leadership teams.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to create compelling talent narratives.
Experience & Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in recruitment marketing, employer branding, talent attraction, digital marketing, or candidate engagement.
- Experience working within professional services, large corporate environments, or complex matrix organisations will be advantageous.
Why EY?
At EY, you'll have the opportunity to build a better working world while developing your own unique career journey. You'll work with experienced professionals across Africa, collaborate with diverse teams, and help shape how one of the world's leading professional services organisations attracts and engages talent.
This role forms part of the Africa Brand, Marketing & Communications team and is based in Sandton, Johannesburg, supporting a business that spans 33 African countries, more than 260 partners, and over 5,000 professionals.
If you're passionate about talent attraction, digital engagement, employer branding, and creating exceptional candidate experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
