We’re currently looking for a Life or Non-Life Actuarial Senior Associate to join our Life Actuarial team. Our actuarial consulting team offers a great opportunity to gain exposure across various technical actuarial areas and across a range of insurers in the South African and international market. This accelerates your learning curve, challenges your thinking and gives you the opportunity to gain depth in terms of the application of your technical actuarial skills.

Your key responsibilities
- Supporting on/managing actuarial audits on IFRS17 and Solvency Assessment and Management for life or non-life insurers
Supporting the Head of Actuarial Function and potentially managing HAF engagements for life or non-life insurers and reinsurers - Support on ORSA reporting, scenario development, projections and reviews
- nvolvement in our in-house actuarial tool development: IFRS17 and SAM reporting
- Develop our team by coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
- Most of your work will be project based for a once-off set period time or on a recurring basis, which enables you to work with different team members and subject matter experts, gaining invaluable experience and technical knowledge.
Skills and attributes for success
- 2+ years’ experience, preferably in the Life or Non-Life Insurance industry
- Good progress with Actuarial exams and a commitment to continue
- Team player and proactive, self-starter
- Curious mindset and keenness to learn
- Critical thinker and solution-orientated approach
