Manager – Resource Management & Financial Planning (Operate)

Key Responsibilities:

End‑to‑End Resource & Workforce Management

  • Manage the full resource management lifecycle, including demand forecasting, capacity planning, allocation, re‑allocation, and utilisation tracking across engagements.
  • Ensure resources are deployed efficiently, equitably, and in line with project requirements, skills, experience, and financial constraints.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of resource capability, availability, and cost implications to support informed allocation decisions.

Financial & Commercial Oversight

  • Apply financial analysis and financial management principles to resource planning, including cost management, utilisation metrics, and margin considerations.
  • Develop and analyse reports on resource utilisation, productivity, and financial performance to support management decision‑making.
  • Partner with leadership to identify risks, variances, and opportunities for financial and operational optimisation.

Business & Data Analysis

  • Leverage business analysis and analytical skills to translate operational and financial data into actionable insights.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending data‑driven solutions across resource and workforce processes.
  • Utilise technology and analytics tools to enhance planning accuracy, forecasting, and reporting. 

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Demonstrate strong project management capability by coordinating multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Act as a key point of contact for resource‑related matters, ensuring alignment between delivery teams, leadership, and operational stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and resolve resource, capacity, or delivery risks to ensure smooth execution of engagements.

Intern Training & Academic Programme Oversight

  • Oversee intern scheduling, workload alignment, and progress tracking to ensure compliance with academic and professional requirements.
  • Monitor academic progression, escalate concerns where required, and support a positive learning and development environment.
  • Manage relationships with academic service providers, including SLA monitoring, reporting, and issue escalation.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • A financial background, with demonstrated experience in financial analysis or financial management.
  • Proven experience managing the full, endtoend resource management lifecycle.
  • Strong financial analyst and business analyst capabilities, with the ability to interpret and apply data for operational and strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • 4–8 years of management experience, preferably within professional services, financial services, or a complex operational environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A project management qualification will be an advantage.
