Location: Johannesburg, South Africa 
Function: Brand, Marketing & Communications (BMC) 
Reporting to: GTM Lead (Africa)

We are looking for a GTM Marketing Manager to play a key role in driving integrated Go-to-Market (GTM) campaigns across priority solutions, sectors and accounts. This is a marketing-led role, focused on campaign strategy, activation and execution, working as part of a highly collaborative BMC team. 

You will act as a trusted marketing advisor to the business, ensuring all campaigns are client-centric, insight-led and aligned to EY’s growth priorities.

 

Your key responsibilities 

Lead integrated Go-to-Market planning and execution 

  • Develop and deliver end-to-end GTM plans aligned to business priorities and growth themes 

  • Translate business strategies into clear value propositions, messaging and campaign plans 

  • Define target audiences, key messages and channel approach to drive market impact 

  • Ensure all campaigns are client-focused, commercially relevant and outcome-driven 

 

Drive multi-channel marketing delivery 

  • Lead execution of campaigns across key channels, including:  

  • Digital platforms and web (ey.com) 

  • Social media (with a strong focus on LinkedIn) 

  • Thought leadership (reports, articles, client stories) 

  • Email and marketing automation 

  • Events, webcasts and client engagement platforms 

  • Ensure strong integration across channels and consistency of messaging 

  • Identify opportunities to innovate through content formats and engagement approaches 

Work collaboratively across BMC 

  • Operate within a highly collaborative, matrixed BMC environment, working across:  

  • Communications 

  • Social and digital marketing 

  • Client experience and events 

  • Marketing operations and traffic 

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, ensuring clarity, alignment and consistency across all campaign elements 

  • Translate complex stakeholder input into clear, actionable marketing outputs 

 

Build strong stakeholder relationships 

  • Act as a strategic marketing partner to Service Line Leaders, Sector Leaders and account teams 

  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the business 

  • Provide guidance on GTM strategy, messaging and channel selection 

  • Influence and align stakeholders to deliver cohesive and effective campaigns 

 

Ensure strong project management and delivery discipline 

  • Lead end-to-end campaign delivery, managing timelines, dependencies and approvals 

  • Work closely with the broader BMC team to ensure efficient and high-quality execution 

  • Maintain strong focus on governance, risk and brand consistency 

  • Manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a structured and disciplined manner 

Embed client-centricity and engagemen

  • Ensure all marketing activity reflects a deep understanding of client needs and market dynamics 

  • Support the development of high-impact client experiences and engagements 

  • Leverage insights, case studies and market trends to enhance campaign relevance 

 

Marketing technology and innovation 

  • Strong interest and working knowledge of marketing technology and digital tools 

  • Practical understanding of how AI can be applied in marketing, including content, targeting and analytics 

  • Ability to translate technology capabilities into practical marketing outcomes 

  • Comfortable working in a data-informed and digitally enabled environment 

 

Measure and optimise performance 

  • Define clear KPIs and success metrics for campaigns 

  • Track performance across digital, social, events and engagement metrics 

  • Provide insight-driven recommendations to optimise future campaigns 

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and accountability 

 

Skills and attributes for success 

  • Strong marketing capability, with experience in integrated campaigns and GTM execution 

  • Ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, matrixed environment 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders 

  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with attention to detail 

  • Commercial mindset, with a focus on impact, outcomes and client relevance 

  • Proactive, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment 

 

Experience required 

  • Relevant experience in marketing, campaign management or GTM roles 

  • Experience in a professional services or B2B environment advantageous 

  • Exposure to integrated marketing, digital channels and client engagement
