Job Description:
A Forensics Technology Senior Associate / Assistant Manager is responsible for leveraging technology and data analytic tools to assist in forensic investigations and litigation support. This role requires a combination of investigative, technological, and legal skills to uncovering digital evidence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize digital forensics tools and investigative methods to find specific electronic data, including internet use history, word processing documents, images, and other files.
- Gather and document electronic evidence to be used in legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with team members on cyber-crime and digital forensics investigations.
- Maintain knowledge of forensics technology and software solutions.
- Enhance existing forensics practices and processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work on complex data analysis to support forensic accounting investigations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with multi-disciplinary teams to provide top-end solutions during investigations.
- Supporting the leadership team and the project manager on the operational level and acting as a role model for more junior team members.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Forensic Accountancy or related field is required.
- Approximately 2-3 years of experience in digital forensics, eDiscovery, cyber investigations or a related field
- Certifications such as Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) or Certified EnCase Forensic Examiner (EnCE) are preferred.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, databases, and mobile technologies.
- Understanding of cyber-crime and laws related to digital forensic evidence.
- Experience with Relativity and / or NUIX will be beneficial.
- Experience with forensic software applications and tools (e.g., Encase, FTK, Magnet Axiom) is beneficial
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in explaining technical matters to non-technical audiences
