This role provides exposure to a range of industries, with a strong opportunity to contribute to work in the telecommunications sector. You will support organisations as they respond to technological disruption and operating model change, working across strategy, process design and enterprise architecture to deliver tangible business outcomes.

As a Senior Associate, you will support project delivery alongside experienced team members, contributing to business transformation initiatives. The role is well suited to candidates with a foundation in enterprise architecture, business analysis and process design, looking to grow their experience in complex, large-scale transformation environments.

Role Description

As a Senior Associate, you will play a hands-on role in supporting architecture-led transformation initiatives. The role focuses on developing enterprise and solution architecture deliverables, as well as process design artefacts, under the guidance of senior team members.

You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements, analyse current-state processes, and contribute to the design of future-state solutions. This includes translating business needs into structured outputs such as process models, architecture diagrams and supporting documentation.

You will contribute to the development of target operating models, enterprise architecture views and end-to-end business processes, aligned to recognised frameworks and EY’s Transformation approach. As part of multidisciplinary teams, you will support clients in improving processes, enhancing system integration, and enabling scalable digital capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of enterprise and solution architecture deliverables for transformation programmes
• Assist in documenting current-state and target-state architectures, including supporting transition roadmaps
• Contribute to process design, mapping and optimisation across business and IT domains
• Develop architecture and process artefacts such as capability models, process flows, and basic architecture diagrams
• Work with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements and support solution definition
• Apply established architecture principles and standards in the development of deliverables
• Support transformation initiatives, including those related to telecommunications, digital platforms, and technology modernisation
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to support delivery of high-quality client outcomes
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and development of team assets

Technical Requirements

• Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in enterprise architecture, business analysis, and/or process design
• Experience in complex industries (experience in telecommunications is beneficial but not required)
• Foundational understanding of telecommunications architecture concepts, including Operational Support Systems (OSS) and Business Support Systems (BSS), network and digital platforms (beneficial)
• Exposure to recognised architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF; certification advantageous)
• Lean Six Sigma certification advantageous, particularly for process design and optimisation
• Ability to develop structured artefacts such as process models, capability maps and basic architecture diagrams
• Exposure to technology or digital transformation programmes within a consulting or enterprise environment
• A degree in Engineering, Commerce or Sciences (BSc or equivalent) is required
