Join our Strategy & Execution team and provide clients a full range of hands-on, operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle (including carve-out, due diligence and integration), supporting both buyers and sellers. We cover a wide range of operational aspects, including carve-out readiness and support, operational due diligence, synergy assessment and delivery, day-one readiness assessment, 100-day planning and supporting the integration process.

Key responsibilities

At EY-Parthenon, we work with the world’s largest organizations, fastest-growing companies, funds and private equity firms on some of the biggest and most complex cross-border deals and engagements in the global market. As an M&A Lead Advisory Associate, you will:

  • Assist in executing end-to-end engagements by working closely with senior team members, clients, potential investors, and other stakeholders to help drive progress toward transaction objectives;
  • Review and analyze key documents relevant to engagements, including business plans, financial statements, transaction documents, and operational/commercial materials;
  • Support the development and analysis of financial models and projections, using various valuation approaches to support clients’ needs;
  • Prepare client-facing deliverables, including teasers, information memorandum, presentations, and other go-to-market materials;
  • Support in conducting industry research, comparable company analysis, and market assessments to inform transaction strategy and positioning;
  • Assist in managing data rooms, coordinating due diligence processes, preparing meeting materials, and maintaining accurate documentation of discussions;
  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional EY teams and support senior team members in delivering high-quality, integrated client solutions;
  • Participate in cross-border assignments where relevant, working with EY teams across geographies;
  • Support senior team members in developing pitch documents, as well as origination of M&A, fundraising and pre-IPO activities.

Requirements

To qualify for the role, ideally you will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Economics, or a related discipline; candidates from other disciplines are also welcome, particularly those with strong quantitative or analytical foundations;
  • Professional qualifications (such as CFA, CPA, FRM) and/or prior internship or full-time exposure to relevant environments (including M&A, corporate finance, transaction advisory, investment banking, consulting) would be advantageous;
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of deliverables/projects and adapt effectively to evolving challenges in a collaborative, team-based and client-facing environment;
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking capabilities, evidenced by the ability to break down problems into clear, logical components and develop practical solutions;
  • Ability to apply commercial judgment, including interpreting data and insights within a broader business and transaction context;
  • A solid foundation in financial concepts with the ability to apply them in practical scenarios (e.g. financial analysis, valuation, or transaction-related work), alongside and clear interest in corporate finance;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated through clear and concise written and verbal interactions with stakeholders across different levels;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, respond to shifting priorities, and deliver effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • High attention to detail with a track record of producing high-quality work under tight timelines; and
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is mandatory, both written and verbal.
