About the opportunity
CCaSS is part of our Assurance group, which is one of the most trusted, respected, and influential organizations in the industry. As part of our team, you can take part in both advisory and assurance engagements, both enabling institutional progress in sustainability and ensuring the integrity of critical sustainability-related information. Our services span climate and decarbonization, sustainability, environment, health and safety (EHS), as well as sustainability reporting and assurance.
Your key responsibilities
You’ll spend most of your time assisting clients to identify, measure, and manage impact, risks, and opportunities as they transition their organizations in alignment with global and national climate ambitions. As a sustainability practitioner, the development of your skills and capabilities are important to us amid rapidly expanding science and knowledge in sustainability. You will also actively contribute to the growth and development of the CCaSS practice by taking operational responsibility and accountability for engagement team support and delivery.
Skills and attributes for success
- Assisting, analyzing, and conducting customized research to support clients in sustainability/ESG transformation, decarbonization, climate change risks and opportunities, EHS, sustainability reporting and other related services.
- Supporting and conducting assurance engagements over non-financial information and sustainability disclosures, including reporting prepared in accordance with GRI Standards, IFRS S1 and S2, TCFD, SASB, and other relevant frameworks.
- Assisting clients in enhancing their sustainability reporting through materiality assessments, gap assessments against applicable reporting standards and frameworks, benchmarking analyses, and recommendations to strengthen reporting processes, governance, risk management, and internal controls.
- Maintaining strong working relationships with key business decision-makers, both internally and externally.
- Communicating EY’s scope of services and supporting the delivery of CCaSS projects, with an emphasis on complex and/or specialized issues within assurance and advisory capacities.
- Identifying and communicating trends, developments, and key performance drivers relevant to clients, while demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry and marketplace.
- Supporting client relationships, business development activities, and account management initiatives through the development of thought leadership, client and internal materials, as well as training.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental studies /engineering /sustainable development /management or business with a sustainability focus /accounting with exposure to sustainability subjects /other relevant disciplines (minimum GPA 3.20 out of 4.00). Additional training in sustainability/ESG-related topics would be an advantage.
- Internship or relevant experience in sustainability, energy, climate, environmental, or other related areas.
- Strong academic performance and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Indonesian and English.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and adaptability skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Openness to working on a variety of projects across different industries and sectors.
- A self-motivated, pro-active, and committed mindset.
- Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary.
Ideally, you also have:
- Strong quantitative and data analysis capabilities, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge and interest in sustainability-related areas or topics, including sustainability reporting, climate change, decarbonization, ESG, or sustainable finance.
- Strong project management and personnel management skills.
