We are seeking for an Assistant to join our EY Tax Corporate Law Department in Istanbul.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Assisting clients with day-to-day corporate legal and governance matters,
  • Supporting company incorporation, branch and liaison office establishment, liquidation restructuring and other corporate reorganization projects,
  • Preparing and reviewing corporate documentation, including board resolutions, shareholders' resolutions, powers of attorney, signature circulars and other corporate records,
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements and legal correspondence,
  • Conducting legal due diligence reviews and contributing to due diligence reports in mergers and acquisitions, investments and restructuring projects,
  • Performing legal research and preparing memoranda, legal opinions, summaries and client presentations,
  • Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments and assessing their impact on clients' businesses,
  • Supporting senior team members in providing practical and business-oriented legal advice to domestic and multinational clients,
  • Coordinating with clients, public authorities, trade registry offices, notaries and other relevant stakeholders,
  • Assisting in compliance and regulatory projects across different industries,
  • Maintaining and organizing legal files, project documentation and internal knowledge resources,
  • Participating in internal and external training programs to enhance legal, technical and professional competencies.

 

 

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputable Turkish university or a foreign university with recognized equivalency in Türkiye,
  • Admission to a Turkish Bar Association and completion of the mandatory legal internship,
  • Up to 2 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm, consultancy firm, or in-house legal department supporting corporate clients,
  • Basic knowledge of Turkish corporate and commercial law and related regulatory frameworks,
  • Familiarity with company establishment procedures, corporate governance matters, corporate housekeeping and commercial contracts,
  • Excellent legal drafting, research and analytical skills,
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Turkish and English,
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize workload effectively,
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work,
  • Proactive, solution-oriented and eager to learn,
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and client-focused environment,
  • High professional ethics, integrity and confidentiality standards,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal research databases,
  • No restriction for domestic and international travel,
  • Male candidates should have completed their military service.
