We are seeking for Immigration Law Intern to join our EY Legal department in İstanbul with the following qualifications.
Your key responsibilities
- Working with Immigration team members and clients to complete work permit, residency permit and/or visa requirements
- Ensuring all paperwork, including applications for Immigration and visas, are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Coordination with third parties regarding documentation needs (country specific)
- Communication with various government agencies for certification, legalization, translation, etc. of documents
- Tracking and fulfilling software systems on case basis
- Process Visa, Residence Permits and Work Permits when applicable
- Maintaining Immigration files
- Updating internal immigration database systems
- Tracking visa and work/residence permit progress and providing notice beforehand the expiration dates of residence/work permits
- Tracking costs relative to immigration (legalization, translation, etc.)
What we look for
- Ability to work with a team
- Fluency and high command in verbally and written in both Turkish and English
- University degree in law from a reputable Turkish University
- Good command in MS Office
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills
- Lateral thinking/problem solving
- Ability to multi-tasking and teamwork
- Ability to priorities and work to tight deadlines and manage own caseload
