The opportunity

As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be accountable & responsible to perform automation expediency, suggest automation approaches, build automation framework, automate manual test cases, maintain and execute regression tests ensuring all automation needs are properly met and aligned to the customer expectation. The role demands expertise on automation tools like Selenium, Protractor. Candidate should have knowledge on TestNG and Cucumber BDD Frameworks to conduct automation testing on web and mobile applications. Should be expert in Java. Added advantage to have knowledge on Python/Javascript/Typescript

Skills and attributes for success

• Framework Architecture development/enhancement
• Design, build, and maintain test automation framework components and reusable libraries
• Strong experience in web application automation using Selenium WebDriver with TestNG and/or BDD frameworks/ Playwright
• Solid expertise in web services/API automation using REST Assured or equivalents
• Hands‑on experience in Guidewire automation, using Guidewire Test (GT) or other leading automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Guidewire‑designated functions and automation coverage criteria for cloud upgrades
• Proven experience in Cloud Migration and Greenfield implementations
• Deep expertise across multiple P&C Lines of Business, with strong focus on Auto and Property

Experience in end‑to‑end execution of Guidewire Cloud programs, including:

• Inception
• Build
• Stabilization
• UAT and Rollout
• Guidewire Certification is mandatory
• Design and implement automation strategies tailored for Guidewire implementations
• Lead automation framework design and implementation
• Define automation standards, procedures, and best practices and estimated
• Perform test execution with reports and maintain the script
• Organize and monitor the defect management process
• Coordinate closely with testing and development teams to resolve issues efficiently
• Engage with client‑side stakeholders to communicate progress, risks, and status
• Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams across geographies
• Actively contribute to automation training and upskilling initiatives within the organization
• Mentor team members on automation tools, frameworks, and Guidewire best practices

To qualify for the role, you must have

• BE/BTech/MCA/M.Sc
• 5-10 years of automation consulting experience across multiple platforms and varied domains
• At least 5 years of experience in any of the automation tools is a must – Selenium, UFT, Protractor

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Hands on experience in developing frameworks on selenium frameworks like TestNG, Cucumber, Appium, Rest Assured
• Created QA Strategy and automation approach from scratch, Articulates value, ROI of automation to clients. Experience in conducting proof-of-concepts and Tool selection Should have played the role of an individual contributor, interfacing with the clients and address their business needs
• Should have excellent communication skills & should be able to articulate concisely & clearly
• Should be ready to do an individual contributor as well as Team Leader role
