About Global Delivery Services
Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.
Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80,000+ professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina, China, Hungary, India, Philippines, Poland, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Client service is focused on providing Consulting, Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Knowledge support to our clients around the world. The teams enable account teams worldwide to provide seamless, high-quality, value-added support, helping deliver exceptional client service.
Enablement Services provides cost-effective, high-skilled, and innovative services to support EY’s global and local enablement teams. Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.
Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment, technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation, rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an Infrastructure and Operations Engineer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in Cloud environments. This role focuses on supporting Windows and Linux platforms, basic networking, application operations, and DevOps support with minimal prior application context. The engineer will work on deployment processes, basic development practices, and ITSM workflows including Incident, Change, and RCA. The position involves extensive use of observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Zscaler, OEM tools, and database performance analyzers, within a well-documented environment supported by SOPs, KEDB, technical upgrade, and OCM documentation.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support Windows and Linux OS environments with basic networking and application troubleshooting
- Knowledge of best practices around development, deployment, ITSM (INC, CHG, RCA) etc
- Support ServiceNow re implementation, including Telemetry and ITOM adoption
- Apply prior Helpdesk / L1–L2 support experience to resolve operational and DevOps issues
- Monitor and troubleshoot using Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Zscaler, OEM tools, and DB performance analyzers
- Maintain and support CI/CD pipelines using Harness
- Familiarity with AWS
Must haves
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Basic networking knowledge (DNS, ports, connectivity, firewalls, etc.)
- Application support knowledge with ability to learn application context quickly (zero prior context expectation)
- Understanding of basic development practices and deployment processes
- Prior experience in Helpdesk / L1–L2 support roles
- Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, and other OEM monitoring tools
- CI/CD pipeline support experience, especially with Harness for Continuous Delivery
- Exposure to middleware and application servers: Apache Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere
Good to have
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services, preferably supported by certifications
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale, production environments
- Experience with Zscaler for security and network access management
- Exposure to any ITSM platforms like ServiceNow,
- Understanding of Telemetry and ITOM concepts within ServiceNow
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong fundamentals in Windows and Linux OS, basic networking, and application support
- Ability to quickly understand application context with minimal onboarding or prior knowledge
- Solid troubleshooting mindset backed by prior Helpdesk / L1–L2 support experience
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, including Telemetry and ITOM concepts
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift-based support environment.
- You will be responsible for executing tasks with increasing autonomy, applying sound judgment within defined parameters, and contributing to team outcomes. You are expected to demonstrate initiative, resolve routine issues independently, and support junior colleagues.
- You will anticipate and identify risks within engagements and share any issues with senior members of the team.
