The Opportunity

 

We are seeking an experienced Operations Architect Manager to lead the end-to-end ownership of scalable enterprise data product platforms supporting finance transformation initiatives.

 

This role sits at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and operational excellence, driving platform scalability, delivery execution, and team leadership. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with operational rigor and stakeholder management capabilities to deliver finance transformation solutions across Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Record-to-Report (R2R), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and related domains.

 

The role offers an opportunity to shape data platform strategy, define engineering standards, establish delivery governance, and enable business value realization through data-driven solutions.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

Technology & Architecture Leadership

  • Define, collaborate on, and own the architecture roadmap for scalable data platforms supporting finance transformation programs.
  • Design and oversee secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud-native data platforms and analytics solutions.
  • Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices across data ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption layers.
  • Drive adoption of modern data technologies including data lakes, lakehouse architectures, orchestration tools, APIs, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Partner with DevOps teams to establish and manage CI/CD and release management processes.
  • Lead platform incident management and resolution activities.

 

Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Lead end-to-end delivery governance across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Implement scalable delivery operating models incorporating Agile, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
  • Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and performance frameworks to ensure platform reliability and scalability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on engineering productivity, quality, and release management.
  • Ensure data governance, compliance, quality, and security standards are embedded across platform operations.

 

Team Leadership & Talent Management

  • Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams comprising data engineers, architects, analysts, and DevOps professionals.
  • Foster a high-performance culture centered on accountability, innovation, and business outcomes.
  • Drive workforce planning, capability development, and technical upskilling initiatives.
  • Mentor team members in technical excellence, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement.

 

Business & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with business leaders, finance transformation teams, and clients to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
  • Serve as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support solution design, proposals, and client discussions through architecture and delivery expertise.
  • Communicate program progress, risks, and value realization to executive stakeholders.

 

Platform & Product Leadership

  • Drive a product-centric approach to platform development focused on scalability, modularity, and reusability.
  • Identify opportunities to industrialize and standardize solutions into reusable assets and platform capabilities.
  • Enable advanced analytics and AI-driven insights to unlock value from finance data.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

 

Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 12-18+ years of experience in data engineering, platform architecture, and delivery leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale engineering teams within enterprise environments.

 

Technical Expertise

 

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture patterns including data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools and frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, DBT, or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of API-driven architectures, microservices, and integration frameworks.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

 

Delivery & Operations

 

  • Proven track record delivering large-scale data and transformation programs.
  • Experience implementing DevOps, CI/CD, and SRE practices.
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, and cost management.

 

Domain Knowledge

 

  • Knowledge of corporate finance processes including P2P, O2C, R2R, and FP&A.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation, analytics platforms, or data-led transformation programs.

 

 

Ideally, You'll Also Have

 

  • Experience delivering solutions within professional services or consulting environments.
  • Exposure to AI/ML-enabled analytics platforms and intelligent automation capabilities.
  • Experience building enterprise-wide reusable platforms and data products.
  • Relevant cloud, architecture, or data engineering certifications.
