Global Delivery Services (GDS) refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY's strategy by ensuring effective support to EY's growth agenda.

The Opportunity
EY is seeking a FDL L2 Operations Specialist - Senior to join the Finance Data Lake (FDL) L2 Data Operations team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a complex enterprise-scale data ecosystem and contribute to the operational excellence of critical finance data platforms.
The successful candidate will work across multiple technologies, including Databricks, Spark, ETL tools, Airflow, and Azure cloud services, ensuring platform stability, incident resolution, and operational efficiency. This position is ideal for technology professionals who are passionate about data operations, troubleshooting, and continuous learning in a dynamic environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
Data Operations & Incident Management
- Support day-to-day Finance Data Lake operations, including ETL failures, job failures, data quality issues, and pipeline monitoring.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve operational incidents within defined service levels.
- Monitor platform health and respond proactively to alerts and notifications.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
- Support shift-based operations, including weekend coverage as required.
Platform Support & Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot Databricks, Spark-based data processing jobs, ETL workflows, and data pipelines.
- Diagnose and resolve operational anomalies beyond standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and platform teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Support workflow orchestration and scheduling platforms, including Airflow.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Communicate operational updates, incident status, and resolutions to stakeholders.
- Work closely with technical and business teams to ensure seamless platform operations.
- Participate in incident bridges and escalation processes when required.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to knowledge repositories and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and automation.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3-8 years of experience in IT operations, data platform support, or cloud-based operational environments.
Technical Skills
- Experience troubleshooting Databricks and Spark-based ETL processes.
- Strong understanding of ETL workflows and data pipeline management.
- Experience supporting data lake environments and data platform operations.
- Hands-on SQL expertise.
- Understanding of ITIL foundational concepts and incident management processes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across data and analytics platforms.
Operational Skills
- Experience monitoring and supporting enterprise applications and data systems.
- Ability to investigate and resolve operational issues beyond documented procedures.
- Experience working within structured support and escalation frameworks.
Ideally, You'll Also Have
- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, NiFi, Talend/TAC, or similar technologies.
- Exposure to workflow orchestration tools, preferably Apache Airflow.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Experience supporting financial data platforms or enterprise data ecosystems.
- Familiarity with large-scale, multi-technology operational environments.
- Understanding of incident management and escalation best practices.
