Job Title: GCC Architect – Data Center & Hybrid Hosting
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced GCC Architect with strong expertise across data center design, hybrid hosting, co-location, cloud integration, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate should bring deep advisory and implementation experience across data center facility standards, tiering, hosting strategy, connectivity, consolidation, DR/BCP design, and cloud adoption.
A key requirement is strong knowledge of compliance and audit-aligned architecture, ensuring all hosting and data center designs are aligned with global and regional regulatory standards. The role involves delivering facility assessments, site audits, hosting architecture, and detailed documentation across both passive (cooling, racks, cabling, HVAC, etc.) and active (compute, storage, backup, network, virtualization, cloud) infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of data center, co-location and hybrid hosting solutions ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and compliance.
- Conduct facility assessments and site audits covering power, cooling, rack layout, cabling, airflow and capacity optimisation.
- Develop DC layouts, rack diagrams, structured cabling designs and ensure adherence to global facility standards and tiering guidelines (Tier I–IV).
- Architect hybrid cloud integrations (AWS/Azure/GCP) with secure connectivity, identity alignment, and governance/compliance controls.
- Design network and interconnect architectures including leaf–spine fabric, segmentation, bandwidth planning, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute and secure routing.
- Drive data center consolidation and migration initiatives focused on efficiency, cost optimisation, compliance adherence, and risk reduction.
- Embed regulatory and security controls into architecture, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 1/2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST, GDPR, DPDPA and CERT-In mandates
- Architect DR/BCP and backup modernization approaches including cloud-based DRaaS, RPO/RTO alignment, and cyber-resilience frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT, cloud, network, security, and compliance teams to ensure cohesive, audit-ready solution delivery.
- Prepare and maintain HLDs, LLDs, compliance mappings, risk assessments and stakeholder documentation for governance and audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 11–15 years of experience in data center architecture, hybrid hosting, or infrastructure modernization with proven project delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of data center facility infrastructure: cooling, HVAC, structured cabling, fire suppression, power distribution, UPS, DG sets, racks, and BMS.
- Strong understanding of active infrastructure: servers, virtualization (VMware/Nutanix), SAN/NAS storage, backup platforms, and network hardware.
- Demonstrated experience applying and designing for compliance frameworks: ISO 27001, SOC, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST, GDPR, CERT-In, DPDPA and cloud shared-responsibility models.
- Hands-on experience architecting hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) including connectivity, security, governance, and DR integration.
- Relevant certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, CDCE, CCNA/CCNP, VCP-DCV, AWS/Azure Solution Architect, ITIL, TOGAF are highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills, especially in compliance-driven, multi-disciplinary infrastructure programs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and architectural decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to work effectively with technical, compliance, and business stakeholders.
