IBM PLANNING ANALYTICS SENIOR CONSULTANT
Job description/Key Responsibilities:
As an IBM Planning Analytics Senior Consultant in our Finance Practice, you will be a key player in delivering sophisticated planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting solutions using IBM Planning Analytics/TM1. Your role will encompass the technical mastery of IBM Planning Analytics, understanding of business processes, and the ability to translate client requirements into actionable insights. Responsibilities include leading IBM Planning Analytics projects, developing complex models, managing data integrations, and conducting end-user training.
A strong grasp of IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, particularly in areas such as financial planning and analysis (FP&A), sales/incentive compensation planning, or supply chain planning, is essential based on your project experience. You will need to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team to achieve the objectives set by the team lead.
Required Experience:
- 5-9 years of hands-on experience with IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, including a minimum of 5 end-to-end implementations focused on financial forecasting, supply chain planning, HR/sales/incentive compensation management, or similar use cases.
- 5+ years of consulting experience in financial planning and analysis, supply chain, or related fields.
- Proficiency with SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel for developing mock-ups for clients.
- Expertise in multi-dimensional modeling within IBM Planning Analytics/TM1.
- MBA in Finance, Operations, or Supply Chain is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IBM Planning Analytics/TM1 projects, including implementations, upgrades, rollouts, and support.
- Proficiency in building and managing TM1 cubes, dimensions, and processes.
- Experience in leading IBM Planning Analytics/TM1 projects from inception to deployment.
- Strong understanding of TM1 rules, feeders, and TurboIntegrator scripting.
- Experience with IBM Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX).
- Relevant certifications in IBM Planning Analytics/TM1 are highly desirable.
- Leadership skills in agile project management, including conducting sprint planning sessions.
- Technical leadership with a deep understanding of IBM Planning Analytics architecture and data management.
- Ability to architect solutions within IBM Planning Analytics and mentor junior team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Expertise in creating complex reports, dashboards, and scorecards within IBM Planning Analytics.
- Direct client communication skills for understanding needs and developing solutions.
- Advanced certifications in IBM Planning Analytics/TM1 are a plus.
- Assist in agile project management tasks, including user story assignments and sprint planning.
People Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate with client team and in client facing roles across various time zones based on client location
- Ability to work in Hybrid model (WFH and Office)
