The opportunity

You will be a core, hands-on member of the team, responsible for building, testing, and deploying high-quality code across our full-stack applications and integrated contact center platforms. You will work closely with senior engineers to deliver features and maintain system stability.

Execute tasks related to the implementation and maintenance of solutions within the established Genesys-focused architecture. This involves hands-on coding in Java/Spring Boot and Angular/Node.js to deliver features that enhance both customer and agent experiences.

•  Candidate must possess proficiency in the following technologies:
  • Core Contact Center/Backend:  Genesys, Java, Spring Boot, Python (optional).
  • Frontend Development:  Angular, Node.js.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure (AWS Focus):  AWS (general), Cloud Formation, ECS, Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, IAM.
  • Data & Analytics:  SQL queries, Splunk, Honeycomb, Adobe Analytics.
  • DevOps & Practices:  GitHub, Bitbucket, Bamboo, CI/CD, TDD/BDD.
  • Conversational AI: Kore.ai (exposure)
•  Additional non-technical skillsets
  • Agile, Confluence, JIRA
  • Monitoring and refining dashboards
  • Continuous process improvement for process flows/workflows

To qualify for the role, you must have

•   Minimum 3 years of experience in application development, system analysis, or database management.
•  Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or IT, or bachelor’s in computer applications (BCA).
•   Working knowledge in Genesys and their application in contact center solutions.
•   Strong, hands-on ability in Java and Spring Boot for developing and testing API/microservices.
•   Demonstrable experience implementing features using Angular and Node.js for modern web applications.
•   Experience with database design, SQL, and data optimization techniques for high-performance applications.
•   Familiarity with API development, integration, and third-party software integration.
•   Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers and business stakeholders.
•   Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern development tools is a plus.
•   Commitment to code quality, with hands-on experience applying testing principles, preferably following TDD/BDD methodologies.
•   Ability to efficiently troubleshoot and debug code across the full stack and assist senior engineers in diagnosing complex system performance issues.
•  Proficiency in Agile Monitoring/refining dashboards, SLOs, and solving known problems by following playbooks.

•   Translates technical specifications into code for moderately complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients. Writes programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports. Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that support automation.
•   Elevates code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provides follow up production support. Submits change control requests and documents.
•   Follows software development methodology. Follows development architecture standards.
•   Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues. Participates in systems analysis activities.
•   Understands client business functions and technology needs. Understands Vanguard's tools, technologies, and applications/databases, including those that interface with business area and systems.
•   Learns and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
•   Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
•   Contribute to optimizing system performance through efficient database design and code enhancements to support scalability.
•   Support the integration and maintenance of data pipelines between APIs and backend systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
•   Maintain and update software documentation for backend components, highlighting logic, processes, and architecture.
•   Apply intermediate knowledge of backend system security and data protection best practices during development.
