Azure Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced ETL & Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Databricks, Python, and PySpark to join our Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, developing, and optimizing big data solutions on Microsoft Azure, with hands-on experience in data migration, integration, and pipeline automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks, PySpark, and related Azure services.
• Lead and execute end-to-end data migration projects, including transitioning from on-premises ETL solutions (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter) to Azure cloud environments.
• Integrate data from diverse sources into unified data architectures, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile environments to deliver high-performance, maintainable, and secure data solutions.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated deployment and testing.
• Perform data validation, requirement analysis, and support disaster recovery drills to ensure business continuity.
• Provide technical expertise in healthcare or other regulated domains (preferred).

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in ETL development and data engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, and SparkSQL.
• Proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
• Solid understanding of SQL Server, Shell Scripting, and enterprise data management.
• Experience with data migration from on-premises to cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD automation.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience in healthcare data (e.g., CTMS, PBM) is a plus.
• Certifications such as Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate will be an added advantage.
