Job Title: Data Centre Infrastructure Architect – Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Data Centre Infrastructure Architect – Manager with up to 15 years of experience in enterprise data centre architecture, infrastructure modernization, performance engineering, and resilience design. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in evaluating existing infrastructure landscapes, designing future-ready architectures, benchmarking and sizing, and delivering robust, scalable infrastructure for mission-critical platforms such as Core Banking Solutions (CBS). This role focuses on architecture ownership, design authority, and delivery leadership rather than day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the current hardware, platform, and data centre landscape and recommend future-proof infrastructure architectures aligned to performance, scalability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead benchmarking, sizing, and capacity planning activities to meet defined throughput, latency, and response-time SLAs.
  • Architect robust and scalable infrastructure for Core Banking Solutions (CBS) and other high-transaction, mission-critical platforms.
  • Optimize infrastructure designs to support high transaction throughput while adhering to banking regulatory, security, and availability standards.
  • Design and govern fault-tolerant architectures, including high availability, redundancy, and resilience across compute, storage, and network layers.
  • Define and implement disaster recovery strategies with clear RPO/RTO objectives for Tier-1 workloads.
  • Architect cross-site replication across data centres using appropriate tools and strategies (synchronous / asynchronous) based on workload criticality.
  • Design enterprise storage architectures, including the use of storage snapshots, replication, backup, and archival for data protection and recovery.
  • Collaborate with security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure infrastructure designs meet banking and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Lead architecture reviews, vendor evaluations, and design approvals for large-scale infrastructure programs.
  • Mentor senior engineers and architects and provide technical leadership across infrastructure initiatives.
  • Document architecture designs, standards, capacity models, and operational guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Up to 15 years of experience in enterprise data centre infrastructure architecture and design.
  • Strong experience in hardware evaluation, benchmarking, and infrastructure sizing for large-scale platforms.
  • Proven expertise designing infrastructure for Core Banking or high-volume transactional systems.
  • Deep understanding of fault tolerance, high availability, disaster recovery, and cross-site replication.
  • Strong knowledge of storage platforms, including snapshots, replication, backup, and recovery mechanisms.
  • Experience with enterprise virtualization and private cloud platforms.
  • Solid understanding of data centre networking and performance considerations.
  • Experience working in regulated environments, particularly banking or financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with data centre modernization, HCI, and platform consolidation initiatives.
  • Exposure to hybrid cloud integration and cloud-adjacent architectures.
  • Understanding of infrastructure cost optimization and capacity governance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead multi-vendor and multi-team architecture engagements.
