EY Digital Engineering is a unique, industry-focused business unit that provides a broad range of integrated services that leverage deep industry experience with strong functional capability and product knowledge. The Digital Engineering practice works with clients to analyse, formulate, design, mobilize and drive digital transformation initiatives. We advise clients on their most pressing digital challenges and opportunities surround business strategy, customer, growth, profit optimization, innovation, technology strategy, and digital transformation.  We also have a unique ability to help our clients translate strategy into actionable technical design, and transformation planning/mobilization.  Through our unique combination of competencies and solutions, EY’s DE team helps our clients sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing strategies to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and disruption and supporting the execution of complex transformations.

What we look for 

• Provides support in system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases.
• Translates technical specifications into code for new or enhancement projects for internal clients.
• Writes programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports; employs software development techniques to implement tests that support automation.
• Elevates code into development, test, and production environments on schedule; provides follow-up production support.
• Learns and follows software development methodology and development architecture standards.
• Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues; participates in systems analysis activities.
• Learns client business functions and technology needs; familiarizes with Vanguard’s tools, technologies, and applications/databases, including those interfacing with business systems.
• Learns and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Assists in basic performance monitoring and debugging of code and databases to support high performance and stability.
• Collaborates with team members to ensure smooth data flow between systems and APIs.
• Contributes to documentation efforts by recording code logic and structures for reference and learning purposes.
• Supports development of back-end components that are secure and reliable, while gradually learning about data protection best practices.

• The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $XXX per hour.  Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data. 
• If you join EY full time after your internship, we offer a competitive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  In addition, our Total Rewards package for full time hires includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
• Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
