- EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:
- Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.
- Enterprise Workplace Technology (EWT) – EWT supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. EWT will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.
- Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.
The opportunity
The role oversees and leads a team of technical support staff who design, develop, test, implement and monitor software and tools. Manages the implementation of divisional products. Manages the evaluation and selection of IT vendor products. Partners with leaders to strategize and effectively shape IT demand that will deliver business impact. The role also oversees end-to-end IT project planning and execution to ensure alignment with strategic business goals, leads the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for timely and effective delivery of IT initiatives, identifies and mitigates project risks, and manages vendor and third-party relationships to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.
Your key responsibilities
- Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Manages staff. Develops, mentors and provides guidance, training and motivation as necessary. Conducts regular one on one and staff meetings.
- Follows corporate disciplinary procedures per established standards as required. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, provides feedback, and recommends wage increases in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Builds and develops a team of Architects. Allocates Architects across a portfolio of strategic initiatives. Works directly with Architects in conceptualizing business technology solutions that have the potential to produce transformational outcomes.
- Continuously pursues advance-level technical acumen: establishes working relationships with strategic and boutique technology providers; leverages the Internet as a critical resource for related knowledge capital, inclusive of blogs, podcasts, webinar, etc.; attends conferences and engages in associated activities (e.g., conducting presentations, leading workshops, etc.); consumes and contributes content from and to Open Source communities.
- Acts as a thought leader in primary area of responsibility.
- Meets information architecture financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing annual budgets; scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.
- Builds commitment to information strategy by considering and evaluating different points of view, creating a cohesive argument.
- Confirms architecture capability and flexibility by developing analytical models; completing validation tests.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Ensures alignment of IT architecture frameworks with strategic business goals and future scalability.
- Drives architectural integration across complex systems, ensuring optimized performance and inter-system compatibility.
- Collaborates with business units to ensure architecture serves functional and operational needs effectively.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Constantly update yourself about new technologies in the market
- Have solid communication skills. A winning personality and the ability to become a trusted advisor to the stakeholders
- Proficient in IT project planning, SDLC methodologies, and enterprise software delivery.
- Experience in vendor management, risk mitigation, and budget control.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and experience integrating security
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.
- Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
