The opportunity
You will be responsible to develop large and complex web applications architecture, composed of components, standards that govern which how data is represented, arranged, integrated and used by users, including the design, build and documents to address business requirements
You will be responsible Create sound project plans with the business by engaging with multidisciplinary teams, and by identifying, managing and mitigating risk
You will be responsible to develop relationships across the business to understand data requirements, applies deep technical knowledge of data management to solve business problems in areas where solutions may not currently exist, necessitating new solutions / ways of working / technologies and proactively articulating these to the business
You will lead engineering and operational initiatives for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platforms, including both AEM On-Prem and AEM Cloud Service environments. This role requires strong technical expertise in AEM architecture, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices, combined with exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills to ensure successful delivery of platform capabilities and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of AEM platform engineering and operations projects across on-prem and cloud environments.
- Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Drive architecture decisions, performance optimization, and security best practices for AEM platforms.
- Lead integration efforts with Adobe Experience Cloud products (Target, Analytics, Campaign) and third-party systems.
- Manage incident resolution, SLA compliance, and proactive monitoring for AEM environments.
- Implement automation and CI/CD pipelines using Adobe Cloud Manager and DevOps tools.
- Lead and mentor offshore engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with onshore teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery alignment.
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align priorities and deliver business value.
- Provide regular status updates and reporting to leadership.
Skills and attributes for success
Required Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) including Sites, Assets, Forms, Dispatcher configuration.
- Hands-on experience with AEM On-Prem and AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
- Proficiency in OSGi, Sling Models, HTL (Sightly), and AEM Core Components.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Cloud Manager, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation.
- Experience integrating AEM with Adobe Experience Platform, Target, Analytics, and Campaign.
- Understanding of GraphQL APIs, Edge Delivery Services, and headless CMS architecture.
- Expertise in performance tuning, caching strategies, and security best practices.
Required Non-Technical Skills:
- Proven experience in Agile delivery (Scrum, SAFe) and backlog management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, especially in offshore delivery models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving in complex, dynamic environments.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and overlapping responsibilities with clarity and influence.
- Commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to emerging technologies (GenAI, AWS Bedrock).
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Overall 10+ years of engineering experience. 5+ years AEM / Content Supply Chain experience
- 3+ years of Technical manager experience, Web / Mobile development & other MarTech platforms knowledge like Target, AEP is a major plus
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science) preferred
- Preferred Adobe Certified Expert in AEM Sites or AEM Cloud Service
- Preferred AWS Cloud Practitioner or equivalent certification.
- Experience with GenAI technologies and automation frameworks preferred.

- Works closely with management to develop and implement staffing and operational plans. Participates in the development of short and long term department goals. Monitors and reports on service delivery metrics and overall performance.
- Leads quality initiatives to improve the delivery of service levels. Works with senior management in the planning, development, and execution of short and long range goals.
- Presents status, metrics, and department initiatives at meetings with management and project peers.
- Maintains relationships with technical teams, IT, and business partners.
- Participates in the development of the department budget.
- Reviews expenses and ensures department operates within budgetary guidelines.
- Ensures staff complies with information technology and information security policies and procedures, and verifies that deliverables meet requirements.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effectively communicating project progress and updates to stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks throughout the project lifecycle and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring smooth project delivery.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, set timelines, allocate resources efficiently, and manage budgets to ensure successful project delivery.

- The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $XXX per hour. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
