The opportunity 

 

As an EY supply chain professional, you’ll have an ability to use your experiences to assist driving our clients’ global business performance. Your key responsibilities 

As a Senior consultant, you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of processes, solutions, and projects by delivering agreed activities and applying judgment. You will define and execute deliverables, track project status, and actively participate in client working sessions. This role will challenge you to solve complex issues, learn continuously, and lead junior team members towards successful project completion. Travel will be required regularly as needed by external clients. We will support you with formal training to develop the skills and knowledge to solve complex business challenges. You will work with high-performing engagement teams assisting our clients in the strategic transformation of their supply chain processes.  You will learn to manage engagement teams, consult directly with clients, assess complex business problems and provide guidance to your team, and client, throughout the engagement schedule.

  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge in your functional area of supply chain. Demonstrate ability to quickly learn new processes and uncover new offering that may assist current customer base.  

  • Provide mentoring and motivate diverse client engagement teams by delivering constructive on-the-job coaching to team members, while fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. 

  • Drive high-quality work within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure clients are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. 

  • Build relationships with client personnel and deliver quality client services. Strive to assist our clients uncover additional areas of opportunity and manage the business development process. 

  • Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to serve clients. 

  • Ability to maintain reports for engagement economics and track resource plans and budgets. 

  • Experience in supporting opportunities for additional services and assisting in the completion of RFP responses. 

  • Proficiency in driving outcomes and hybrid collaboration. 

  • Commitment to sustainability and learning agility. 


To qualify for the role you must have
 

  • A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain consulting environment 

  • Build upon your recent experiences and education, focusing on logistics, strategic sourcing, manufacturing efficiency, planning, network design, logistics, managed services or supply chain analytics 

  • Technical skills in automation opportunity assessment and prioritization. 

  • Knowledge of digital strategy and E2E supply chain strategy and operating model.  

  • Understanding of emerging technologies and organizational and workforce analysis. 

  • Expertise in process optimization and supply chain compliance and regulation awareness. 

  • Ability to design supply chain performance metrics and realize benefits. 

  • Skills in supply chain quality and operations risk management. 

  • Insight into supply chain sustainability and the supply chain technology landscape. 

  • We would expect for you to be available to travel outside of their assigned office location at least 80% of the time. Successful candidates must work in excess of standard hours when necessary. A valid passport is required 


Ideally, you’ll also have
 

  • A bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree focusing on engineering, supply chain, and/ or business 

  • Recent experience in one of the specific areas of expertise: strategic sourcing, category management, warehouse and network design, manufacturing efficiency, product lifecycle management, demand planning and outsourcing advisory.  

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and manage relationships. 

  • Commercial astuteness and the ability to communicate with impact. 

  • A track record of critical thinking and driving outcomes in a collaborative environment.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $96,300 to $176,500.  The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $115,500 to $200,600.  Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
  • Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
