We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go.  Join EY and help to build a better working world.

The opportunity

We are seeking a senior manager with deep industry experience across supply chain and logistics, with particular strength in marine and offshore logistics across materials management, air logistics, warehousing, and marine operations. You’ll join EY’s team of market-facing leaders responsible for identifying, shaping, and co-creating end-to-end solutions that transform how oil and gas clients plan, move, store, and optimize critical equipment, materials, people, and services across complex operating environments.

This role requires strong sector credibility, significant consulting experience, commercial acumen, and practical solution leadership. You will advise clients on logistics operating models, network optimization, cost performance, contractor and supplier ecosystems, and digitally enabled supply chain transformation, while partnering with internal teams to deliver measurable value across the logistics value chain.

Your key responsibilities

As a senior manager focused on supply chain and logistics transformation, you will:

  • Lead the identification, structuring, and validation of holistic supply chain and logistics transformation solutions, including operating model redesign, logistics network optimization, materials management, warehousing, air logistics, marine operations, and offshore support models
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders across supply chain, logistics, procurement, operations, asset management, digital enablement, and enterprise leadership
  • Shape and execute go-to-market strategies for EY’s supply chain and logistics offerings, with a focus on oil and gas clients operating in marine, offshore, and complex field logistics environments
  • Build and activate partnerships with logistics providers, marine service companies, technology platforms, OEMs, and supplier ecosystems to develop integrated offerings around logistics visibility, materials flow, inventory optimization, and offshore support performance
  • Represent EY in external forums, industry associations, and strategic engagements to build thought leadership and brand equity
  • Partner with delivery teams to refine solution playbooks, deployment models, and domain accelerators for supply chain and logistics implementation
  • Support pursuits, develop technical and commercial content for proposals, and lead early-stage client engagements
  • Drive continuous refinement of EY’s logistics transformation architecture by learning from engagements, client priorities, and market signals

Skills and attributes for success

  • Deep domain expertise in supply chain and logistics within oil and gas, with hands-on understanding of materials management, air logistics, warehousing, marine logistics, and offshore support operations
  • Proven consulting experience leading operational improvement, digital enablement, and transformation programs across logistics, supply chain, and complex industrial operating environments
  • Strong grasp of industry dynamics, including logistics cost structures, offshore supply base operations, supplier performance, inventory availability, vessel and aviation coordination, and service reliability
  • Commercial acumen and comfort driving client discussions on strategy, performance, and ROI of digital investments
  • Ability to work across functional teams such as supply chain, logistics, procurement, operations, engineering, IT, digital, and finance to shape integrated solutions
  • Strategic mindset with a bias for action and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to translate logistics complexity into client-relevant narratives, business cases, and transformation roadmaps

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, business, operations, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain and logistics within oil and gas, including significant consulting/advisory experience and direct exposure to marine, offshore, air, warehousing, and materials management operations
  • Recognized sector expertise in marine and offshore logistics, including the ability to credibly advise clients on complex logistics operating models and performance improvement opportunities
  • Experience shaping supply chain, logistics, or operational transformation initiatives involving network design, logistics planning, inventory optimization, supplier performance, or offshore support operations
  • Exposure to enabling technologies and platforms such as logistics control towers, inventory and warehouse management systems, transport management systems, supplier performance dashboards, analytics, AI-enabled planning tools, or cloud-native data platforms.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience supporting strategic pursuits or proposal development for supply chain, logistics, or marine/offshore transformation engagements
  • Significant consulting experience, including advising senior client stakeholders, shaping transformation roadmaps, and influencing change in large organizations
  • Relationships across logistics service providers, marine and offshore ecosystems, technology platforms, OEMs, or supplier networks.
  • Familiarity with logistics cost takeout, supply base strategy, inventory optimization, emissions considerations, and digitally enabled logistics operations

What we look for

We’re looking for a credible sector expert and consultant who understands the realities of moving materials, equipment, people, and services through complex oil and gas logistics networks. This person should be known in the sector as an expert in marine and offshore logistics, with the ability to advise clients across materials management, air logistics, warehousing, and marine operations. This is an opportunity to lead from the front, helping clients build more efficient, resilient, digitally enabled, and commercially disciplined supply chain and logistics operations.
